The new Ike and Tina Turner sure know how to keep tongues wagging. With Rihanna‘s recent confession to Oprah that she considered Chris Brown to be a “true love” for her, and Chris’ confession that he was caught between his feelings for Rihanna and Karrueche, you might assume that Chris and Rihanna are officially back together.
Not so, according to Rihanna. In an interview for Facebook, hosted by Bravo’s Andy Cohen, Rihanna admitted that Chris Brown was “dope,” but denied being in a relationship with him.
Andy slyly asked the question after playing a quick word association game with some famous friends, rivals and peers — which was really just a means for Andy to ask that million-dollar question about Chris:
Andy Cohen: Eminem.
Rihanna: Eminem is the shit.
Andy Cohen: Chris Brown.
Rihanna: He’s dope too. *in playful voice* He’s kind of all right.
Andy Cohen: Are you guys together?
Rihanna: Nope.
Rihanna also spoke on her duet with Chris Brown, “Nobodies Business,” and she explained that the song is her way of taking back her private life and refusing to let outsiders dictate that for her.
“‘Nobody’s Business’ is basically the way I look at everything regarding my personal life. Even though you have to witness it, it’s being documented at every second, it still is mine. This is mine at this point,” Rihanna said when Andy asked her about the song’s meaning.
