Grammy Nominated rockers MGMT have had a change of plans with the release of their new album since it was leaked online. The punk-rock duo has decided to give their album, titled Congratulations, away for free.
The “Kids” hit makers initially wanted to make their third studio album available to fans as a free download, but after a string of tracks from the album leaked online, they’ve decided that they will stream their album, originally due in stores April 12th, on their official website. The homepage of the band’s website says this:
“Hey everybody, the album leaked, and we wanted you to be able to hear it from us. We wanted to offer it as a free download but that didn’t make sense to anyone but us.”
