#4 – Ryan Lochte: Stepping Out of the Shadows
Being the Jan to Michael Phelps’ Marsha Brady hasn’t been easy, but Ryan Lochte finally managed to get some shine of his own at this Olympic Games.
While Phelps did make Olympic history as the most decorated Olympian ever, Lochte did best Phelps in the 400m individual medley to take the gold. He’s an 11-time Olympic medalist and his star is rising on the Internet thanks to memes about him peeing in the pool and being a really bad interviewer.
He also rocked a blinged out American grill, which he received courtesy of Paul Wall, during his medal ceremony. Suburban America, consider yourselves corrupted.
Unlike Phelps, Lochte is not planning to retire from swimming any time soon. So Rio will be all his for the taking in 2016.
