#3 – Christian Taylor: Jump for Gold
When it comes to track and field events, the sprinters often get all of the glory, but Christian Taylor and his triple jump victory could get more people focused on the action in the sand.
Born to Barbados-born parents, Taylor snagged the gold medal in the event on Aug. 10 when he jumped 17.81 meters, 19 centimeters (58 feet, 5¼ inches).
To put that into perspective, the average school bus is about 45 feet long. So yeah, the boy can jump.
