Lil Wayne is an avid sports fan, and wanted to watch the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs playoff game in person … but there was only one problem. He didn’t have a ticket.
Because of who he is, Lil Wayne usually gets his way in other cities — Like Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, New York City, etc. — but not in Oklahoma City.
When the rapper got to the front gate of the Chesapeake Energy Arena, he was denied entry, but not just because he didn’t have a ticket … but because he wanted the best seats in the house, which were already sold out.
So instead of settling for, say, a second or third row seat, the rapper — who instantly converted into a Spurs fan — decided to just watch the game at home. He tweeted:
Was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena. Wow. Smh. Go Spurs!

OKC says that they would have accomodated Weezy and his entourage … he just needed a ticket like everyone else.
Team spokesman Dan Mahoney told the Associated Press, “We’d love to have him at a game, but like anyone else, he needs a ticket.”
OKC player Kevin Durant said Lil Wayne should have hit him up for courtside tickets to Game 3. “We need people like that around here,” he said during the team’s practice Friday.
Oklahoma defeated San Antonio Thursday night, ending their 10-game series winning streak, with a final score of 102 to 82.
SAS leads the series over OKC, 2-1. Game 4 is Saturday night (Jun 2) in Oklahoma City.
