Jay-Z looked to be having a good time kicking it courtside Friday night (Apr 8) at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ as he watched his team (the New Jersey Nets) take on the New York Knicks.
The NBA launched an investigation earlier this month after the “Empire State of Mind” rapper, who is a minority owner of the Nets, was captured on camera congratulating the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team in their locker room after they won against UNC in the NCAA March Madness Tournament.
It is forbidden for the owner of a professional team to interact with possible NBA prospects, so the NBA fined the Nets $50,000. Pocket change for someone like Jay-Z, right?
