NBA player Matt Barnes (who was recently traded from the L.A. Clippers to the Charlotte Hornets, then to the Memphis Grizzlies) still has a bone to pick with another particular NBA player.

Matt appeared on “Sports Nation” yesterday (Jul. 21) and made it clear that he wants to fight Oklahoma City Thunder star Serge Ibaka.

When asked about his past beef with Ibaka, Matt responded:

“Me and Serge could fight right now if he was here. I just don’t like him. He’s always got that aura about him that he’s the toughest guy on the planet. He’s not. You know, whether that’s on the court or off the court.”

The two players came close to exchanging blows years ago during a 2013 Clippers/Thunder game. At the time, Matt played for the Clippers.

Serge has since responded to Matt Barnes’ recent fight invitation by tweeting Dana White and the UFC’s Twitter page to see if they could set up a UFC match between him and Barnes.

This could get real ugly.
