Kobe Bryant is making history!

The Los Angels Lakers basketball player is receiving a huge honor by being the very first and only athlete in the world to be honored in a Hollywood Ceremony. According to AP: “Bryant will become the first athlete to have a hand and foot print ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.”

Kobe Bryant has been a Los Angeles Laker since he was 17 years old after initially trading from the Charlotte Hornets after being drafted in 1996. Since then, Bryant has gone on to win 5 NBA championships with the team, and in addition, has broken several NBA records, including being the youngest player ever to score over 20,000 points over the span of his career. He also made history as the second LA Laker to score over 50 points in three consecutive games.

Kobe’s hand-and-footprints at Grauman’s Chinese Theaters in Hollywood will join those of the great actors of our time. The upcoming event is scheduled to take place during this year’s All NBA All-Star Weekend on February 19th, a day before the start of the games.
