According to TMZ, BMX star and host of MTV’s “The Challenge” T.J. Lavin is currently in a medically induced coma after a bike accident during a BMX event last night (Thurs. Oct 14).
Lavin was competing in a Dew Tour event in L.A. Thursday night when he hit a dirt ramp and lost control of his bike, and was slammed down to the ground. Crew workers and friends rushed to his side immediately after the incident, however Lavin didn’t respond or move……..and was rushed to the University Medical Center hospital. It has also been reported that he is experiencing brain swelling and is listed in critical condition.
