Joe Jackson news, pictures and videos!

But he said some more stuff too… hear him out!

Joe Jackson and LaToya must sit around on the phone with reporters all day. And you know whenever Joe opens his mouth, bullsh*t is expected to come out. We know we can expect 3 things in life. Taxes, death and Joe Jackson saying (or doing) something off the wall (no pun intended).

But he said something in a recent interview that almost pissed us off … until we kept reading.

Michael Jackson’s dad tells Extra in an interview airing tonight that his son is making a bigger impact now than when he was alive. “He’s worth more dead than when he was alive,” Joe, 80, says. “I’d rather have him alive.”

Michael Jackson’s estate has reportedly raked in over $200 million this year alone, which forecasts the tons of cash that will come in over the next several years. And the “This Is It” world premiere brought in over $20 million Wednesday (Oct 28).

Joe also mentioned how he gets “very emotional” when he hears his son’s music.

“When I’m off to myself and I start thinking about things that we went through,” he says. “No one will ever see me, though.”

So we really can’t knock ol’ Joe. Everyone grieves in their own way. Some of us just grieve a little… weirder (?) than the rest of us :)

Rapper Kanye West offered Joe Jackson a sip from his bottle of Henny before last night’s VMAs. The bottle apparently made its way around the audience because Pete Wentz was also spotted drinking straight from the community bottle. Looks like Kanye and Amber were trying to get everybody a little loose!

Michael Jackson's casket // Michael Jackson's Private Funeral

Nearly three months after his surprising death, Michael Jackson was finally laid to rest Thursday evening (Sep 3) in an intimate ceremony only attended by close family and friends at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, located in the Glendale district of Los Angeles. According to reports, guests were told the ceremony would start promptly at 7 P.M. (sunset) but the Jackson family left them waiting for about an hour until they showed up a little after 8 P.M. (PT). Jackson’s brothers, Randy, Marlon, Tito, Jackie and Jermaine, wheeled his gold casket to the front of the service once they arrived, and his three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael Jr., placed a gold crown on top of the flowers adorning it. They also wrote letters to their father that were placed inside of his casket, alongside one of his signature white gloves.

Joe Jackson // 2009 BET Awards (Press Room)

Joe Jackson, the patriarch of the Jackson family, gave his first public interview since Michael Jackson’s shocking death to CNN on the red carpet of Sunday’s (Jun 28) 2009 BET Awards. Between him having other people speak for him, referring to his family losing “the biggest superstar in the world” and plugging his new record label at the end, we just think ol’ Joe Jackson was there to show face, instead of honoring his SON. It’s kind of weird how he referred to Mike as “the biggest superstar in the world” instead of his son. He just seems so indifferent to it all. Everything is just business with this guy and the entire interview gives off an awkward vibe.

CNN: I know the last couple of days has been tough for you guys…

Joe: And?… Yeah, it has. It’s been really tough. Remember we just lost the biggest superstar in the world, so it’s been tough…
