Bret Michaels to Sue CBS and the Tony Awards for Almost Killing Him
Bret Michaels claims that an accident on the set of the 2009 Tony Awards was to blame for causing a brain hemorrhage that nearly killed him last year.
The rocker filed a lawsuit against Tony Award Productions, CBS and others blaming producers for not properly instructing him on how to safely exit the stage following his performance. As he tried to exit the stage, the lawsuit states, Bret was “smacked” in the head by a piece of the set. The lawsuit, filed over the weekend in L.A. County Superior Cort, claims he had to be hospitalized for a broken nose and a cut lip.
Six months after the Tonys, Bret suffered a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage that almost took his life. Bret says the “accident” at the Tonys caused his hemorrhage.
Jenelle Evans from “Teen Mom” Arrested After Fight Video Goes Viral
Jenelle Evans of MTV’s “Teen Mom 2“ was taken into custody late Sunday evening in connection with two misdemeanor charges of simple assault and simple affray (i.e., a physical altercation).
The arrest stemmed from a video of Evans, 19, fighting a young woman named Britany Truett over a boy named Kieffer Delp, who was also arrested Sunday on an unrelated outstanding drug charge.
In the clip, Evans is seen repeatedly punching Truett (who’d pressed charges over the weekend) in the face.Evans was apprehended by Oak Island Police and booked into Brunswick County Jail, where she was released at 11:25 p.m. ET on $500 bond.
In related news, MTV recently announced that their third season of “16 and Pregnant,” the show that made girls like Jenelle famous for being young, unwed baby mamas will premiere next month. Yay.
Jon Cryer Cracks Charlie Sheen; Says He’s “Recording an Album”
During Comedy Central’s First Annual Comedy Awards this past weekend, Jon Cryer revealed that he is hard at work“recording an album” and even took some time to throw in a couple of cracks directed at his former “Two And A Half Men” co-star Charlie Sheen who once famously referred to Cryer as a “troll.”
“I think it’s important for an actor to keep out of the public eye,” Jon quipped, followed by, “Luckily a lot of talented people are working on shows that are still in production.”
