Selena Gomez to Star in “Sex and the City” Prequel?

Selena Gomez is currently being eyed to have a starring role in a possible “Sex and the City” prequel.

Author Candace Bushnell has revealed that she wants to take her two “Sex and the City” prequels — “The Carrie Diaries” and “Summer and the City” — to the big screen, and she feels as though Selena would be ideal to play a young Charlotte York.

“You know, I don’t know… casting is like kismet,” Bushnell told the Daily Caller during a book launch this week. “I’m going to get into trouble for this, but I was looking at some pictures of Selena Gomez today and thinking she’d make a really good young Charlotte.”

Specific Media bought the once popular social networking site for $35 million Wednesday, which is a lot less than the $100 million News Corp had hoped to sell for, and a hell of a lot less than the $580 million they paid for it in 2005. (And even more less than the $1 billion dollars it was once valued at.)

Just a few years ago, MySpace was “THE” social networking site. But in recent years, the site has fallen behind other social media sites like Facebook and Twitter in terms of popularity and overall growth.

Now, fast forward to 2011 and MySpace is desperate to get back back on people’s good side. So desperate, in fact, that they are now teaming up with Justin Timberalake, who is buying a controlling stake in the company.

That’s my jaw. It’s incredible. It’s really incredible, and I think it’s so cool to be a part of the New York City part of the exhibit. I was born and raised here, this is my home, so it’s so perfect.”

Madonna Wants to Open an Orphanage in Malawi, Africa

Pop icon Madonna has made it known that she wants to open an orphanage in Malawi (a country in Africa), which is the hometown of her adopted son David and daughter Mercy.

“My short term goals are to build an orphan care center that will service and reach at least 1,000 children and I’m also actively involved in funding several orphanages that already exist,” Madonna said in a docu-series interview with ‘American Revolutionaries: The Hitmakers.’

The 52-year-old superstar had previously tried to build a Malawian school to teach 400 girls, which would have cost around $15 million. But due to unforeseen circumstances the plans fell flat in March.
