Above is a candid photograph of the deranged supermodel we all know as Naomi Campbell in the back seat of a car as she leaves Heathrow Airport police station in west London, early on yesterday following her arrest before boarding a transatlantic flight. She was reportedly removed from a British Airways flight, with witnesses saying she was cuffed on board the aircraft while being agressive and abusive to staff.

Here’s the official video for Madonna and Justin Timberlake‘s collaboration effort, 4 Minutes. The Timberland-produced track is the first single off of Madonna’s 11th studio release, Hard Candy. Gotta love the dope effects in the video!

According to Perez Hilton, the international pop superstar has already began work on her second video, which is for the Pharell Williams-produced song, Give it To Me.

Hard candy is set to hit stores April 29th 2008.

Naomi Campbell Arrested at Heathrow Airport

Supermodel Naomi Campbell, who is famous for her deranged temper, was arrested at Heathrow airport in London after she reportedly spat on and physically assaulted an officer. According to UK’s The Sun, what set Naomi off was the fact that the airline had lost one of her three bags. Apparently the bag never made it on to the flight. The airline allegedly assured the model that her bags would be located, and returned to her soon, but obviously that wasn’t enough.

She began harassing airline staff who called cops as the flight was called and Naomi walked onto the plane. She was still yelling at boarding card staff as she took her seat. Three officers from the MET’s SO18 Aviation security branch then came onto the plane. They tried to calm the model down, but she is alleged to have reacted by spitting at an officer and then laying into him with her fists. Frenzied Naomi was bought under control after a struggle and then physically hauled off the plane. Cops were called and she was heard screaming “get off me, leave me alone” before she attacked one and was taken away to Heathrow police station.

An eyewitness said: “She attacked a male police officer and spat at him and she was taken to the airport police station.”

A Heathrow spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that a passenger was removed by police from a BA flight this afternoon.”

That damn Naomi! I’m guessing she didn’t learn from her last bout with the law…

To compile a list of the hottest new stars of music, we examined several measures of popularity and success. To start off, we looked at the top searches and downloads on peer-to-peer networks during the past 12 months as measured by BigChampagne, as well as press mentions as measured by Factiva.

Then we looked at U.S. digital track downloads and album sales in 2007 and the first two months of 2008, as measured by Nielsen SoundScan. FABOLOUS TO RELEASE CONCEPT ALBUM BASED ON FILM » Rapper Fabolous is working hard on his next LP, which he plans to release this August, MTV News is reporting. He plans on basing the album on an upcoming film, similar to what Jay-Z did with American Gangster.

“I usually go around and just get with producers I feel I wanted to work with. This time I’m going off a theme,” he said. “I’mma put a theme together and just go off of that theme,” he said. “Sometimes producers get lost trying to figure out what they think is the best type of sh– for Fab. [They say,] ‘I got this commercial joint for you.’ So what I’m doing now, I seen a movie I want to theme the album after. Even take certain lines, different scenes out of the movie and make music behind that. At the same time, I can have the producer check the movie out, and he’ll have something he can take away from the movie and come back with some joints. I wanted to try that this time.”

“What Jay-Z did [with ‘American Gangster’] … he took that Frank Lucas character and put it in the frame of his Jay character,” Fab opined. “That’s what I wanna do. I don’t wanna say I that I’m actually the character, but take some of his scenarios or some things I went through and tell it in my tone.”

Fabolous didn’t disclose the name of the movie, but he says that a warm-up single is due for a May release. He also mentioned a few big names for the producers he plans on working with: Kanye West, Just Blaze, and Polow Da Don, just to name a few. I’m definitely interested in seeing what movie this album will be modeled after. Jay-Z did his thing on American Gangster!

Video Snippet: Usher – “Love in this Club”

So a snippet of the video for Usher‘s new single Love in this Club has hit the net, and I can’t really say that I’m feeling it. But it’s only 30 seconds, so I’ll reserve a full judgement for Monday (Apr. 7th) when it’s supposed to premiere. Oh, and I just love how I saw Keri Hilson‘s face only once in that whole 30 seconds. Looks like ol’ Tameka got to the editors too! Now, you may be thinking: “But Dustin, it’s just 30 seconds! And it’s Usher’s video…” Well I figure an entire video is about 4 minutes long, right? You do the math lol. 4 minutes times 60 seconds per minute, equals 240 seconds. 30 of 240 seconds is about 12%. So that’s 12% of the video. But it might just be that 12% where you barely see her, so like I said before, I’ll reserve a full judgement for when the FULL video premieres.

Beyonce and Jay-Z Take Out Marriage License

Yeah, I know. It seems like every month there’s a new rumor about Beyonce and Jay-Z getting married. But People, one of the most credible celebrity news sites out there, is reporting that the couple took out a marriage license in NY yesterday. They say the document is valid for 60 days.

When asked about the veracity of this story, reps for Beyonce said, “No comment,” while reps for Jay-Z couldn’t even be reached! This is important to note because their reps usually respond to these rumors with the quickness and shoot them down … but not this time. So I think it’s true. Beyonce and Jay-Z are getting married!

Update on Sean Levert’s Death: Singer Died at Hospital and NOT in Prison

Family and friends of singer Sean Levert are left to cope with his sudden death Sunday night while serving a jail sentence in Ohio. The 39-year-old son of O’Jays lead singer Eddie Levert died at Cleveland’s Lutheran Hospital late Sunday, less than an hour after he was rushed there from Cuyahoga County jail. He had just begun serving a 22-month sentence for failure to pay child support.

Warden Kevin McDonough said he had been sick, acting strangely and hallucinating before he collapsed in his cell. A cause of death has yet to be determined, and toxicology reports could take four to six weeks, coroner Frank Miller told the AP.

“There are no words that can express what we are feeling today. There is no song that can capture the loss that we have in our hearts,” read a statement released Monday by the Levert family. “But we are humbly overwhelmed by the generous outpouring of love, condolences and support from the many friends, fans and admirers of our son Sean. At this very difficult time, we thank you for your prayers and hope you will understand our need for privacy.”

Video Premiere: Kanye West F/ Chris Martin – “Homecoming”

Here it is, folks! The T2W premiere of Kanye West‘s new video for Homecoming (F/ Chris Martin). The video was filmed in Chicago (obviously) and was directed by music video genius Hype Williams, hence the dope effects and what-not!

Label-mate Common made a cameo in the video. Kanye, this makes video #4 … please don’t tell me this is the last one! You need to make a video anthology or something. Do it for us … the stans!

50 Cent Hops on the Obama Bandwagon

Remember this? Well now that Barack Obama looks like he’s gonna be the front-runner for the Democratic party in the November elections, 50 Cent has changed his mind on who he’s rooting for. Go figure. Well, of course that’s not the reason he mentioned. He says “because he heard Barack Speak.” Whatever homie…

During a recent interview with MTV at his Connecticut mansion, 50 Cent told reporters that he has switched from supporting Hillary Clinton for president to backing Barack Obama after hearing his speech on race. “I heard Obama speak,” said the rapper. “He hit me with that he-just-got-done-watching-‘Malcolm X,’ and I swear to God, I’m like, ‘Yo, Obama!'” He threw his fist in the air. “I’m Obama to the end now, baby!” But hold on, 50 also admitted that he’s become bored with the overall race for the White House.

“To be honest, I haven’t been following that anymore. I lost my interest,” he said. “I listened to some of the debate and things that they were saying, and I just got lost in everything that was going on. … Don’t look for my vote, for me to determine nothing on that. Just say, ’50 Cent, he don’t know, so don’t ask Fiddy.’

I’m not gonna bash shitty cent though. He’s entitled to his own opinion, and he has a right to change it whenever the hell he wants. It’s just strange how all of a sudden he’s all, “Eff Hillary, I’m for Barack now!” just cause he heard one speech. But hey, who am I to judge?

Kanye Sued over “Good Life,” Kimora Lee Simmons Officially Files for Divorce, and Laila Ali Expecting

KANYE WEST SUED FOR COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT » Another day, another bogus lawsuit against my boy Kanye West. Kanye is being sued by a Maryland songwriter/producer for copyright infringement.

Dayna “D’Mystro” Staggs filed the lawsuit in Maryland District Court last week claiming West “didn’t obtain a license” to sample his record “Volume of Good Life” for the song featured on West’s third album, “Graduation,” reports WENN. In legal papers, Staggs states West “was only at the age of six or seven years of age” when his song was written. He has also objected to the “vulgar and offensive” images associated with the song, claiming it “harms the reputation” of his inoffensive tune.

Staggs seeks 85 percent of all world sales of the proceeds from “Good Life,” although he fails to detail exactly how he came up with that number, reports WENN. West is named in the lawsuit alongside his various record labels, including his own G.O.O.D. Music and Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter’s Roc-A-Fella Records. [ VIA EUR WEB » ]

Papoose to Marry Remy Ma … in Prison!

So … am I the only one who didn’t even know Remy Ma and Papoose were dating? The rapper recently confirmed to the media that he plans on marrying Remy Smith (Remy Ma) next month, in light of her conviction of intentional assault and her potential 25-year prison sentence.

“We always wanted to keep our personal lives personal, so that’s why we never went public with our relationship,” Papoose wrote in an e-mail to MTV News. “Right now, I just feel like she gotta live through me. Yes, we were scheduled to be married on a yacht April 27th. But due to circumstances beyond our control, we are now making arrangements to be married in prison.”

Papoose also revealed that his future wife will appeal the court’s conviction.

Remy Ma is currently being held without bail until her sentencing, which is set for April 23rd.

NBA star Lebron James has a big-time agenda to meet! He has publicy stated that he wants to become the first billionaire athlete, and at the young age of 24, he might just meet that goal. With endorsements deals from Nike, Sprite, and now Vitamin Water, amongst other deals, the “point forward,” as he is called, has earned close to $250 million!

But back to his new deal. The Cleveland Cavaliers front man will be featured in a series of commercials advertising Vitamin Water. The commercials are set to air during the 2008 NBA Playoffs, and will feature Lebron James as a lawyer. That’s a far cry from his current image: “King Kong.” I know you guys peeped his cover shoot for Vogue Magazine. If you haven’t heard about the controversy that particular cover has been causing, then you need to find a new place to live, because the hole you’ve apparently been living in appears to be pretty dark and lonely!

Some associates of mine who are in business school have developed a new blog measurement system called the Blog Performance Indicator (BPI).The BPI measures a percentage of Alexa traffic, Technorati score, Digg, del.icio.us, RSS feeds, social bookmarking reader usage and how much the site has grown in the past month and compares it vs. other “similar category” blogs.

The BPI is supposed to be the most accurate measurement of how one blog performs vs. another and the competition as a whole. I was able to convince them to run the scores for hip-hop blogs. Over 100 active hip-hop blogs (min. one post a week) were rated with over 3,000 active hip-hop blogs found in the nation…

Congratulations to all of the other Blogs that made the list!
