Game 3: L.A. Lakers Vs. Denver Nuggets

Game 3: L.A. Lakers Vs. Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets can seem to get it right. I don’t know if it’s intimidation of Kobe Bryant or what. The L.A. Lakers win a another victorious game last night by 18 (102-84). The stats are now in the Lakers favor with their own winning rampage (3-0). Top player of last night’s game has to be Kobe Bryant. Kobe scored 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. Pau Gasol had 14 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds. Lamar Odom had 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. Allen Iverson was disappointed about the loss and knows he wasn’t on his best skills last night. Iverson had a total of 15 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. A.I. said after the game:

“I was getting to the basket, I just wasn’t finishing.” Ivo added, “And the same thing happened to ‘Melo’.”

Rolling Stone: The Best Of Rock 2008

The latest issue of Rolling Stone has just hit stands. The title of the magazine is The Best Of Rock 2008. Chris Brown Dance Rehearsals?

A new YouTube video has leaked over the internet of Chris Brown dancing raw with dancers behind him. The music in the background isn’t a Chris Brown song but it is Michael Jackson. The only video I can see him recording is his new single, “Forever”, to be on the re-release of Exclusive. Check out the video above. CB is a serious dancer.

Game 3: Phoenix Suns Vs. San Antonio Spurs

(Photos: Getty Images) It’s looking really dark for the Phoenix Suns‘ right now. The San Antonio Spurs show no signs of slowing down the winning spree (3-0). MVP of Game 3 went to Tony Parker, who scored a career-high 41 points and 12 assists leading the Spurs to a 16-point victory (115-99). Tim Duncan added 23 points and 10 rebounds. Shocker: Cops Acquitted in Sean Bell Case

(Photo: Getty Images) THE NEW YORK TIMES // STORY BY MICHAEL WILSON » Three detectives were found not guilty Friday on all charges in the shooting death of Sean Bell, who died in a hail of 50 police bullets

SEAN BELL, HIS FIANCEE NICOLE, AND THEIR DAUGHTER

outside a club in Jamaica, Queens, in November 2006. The verdict prompted calls for calm from the mayor, angry promises of protests by those speaking for the Bell family and expressions of relief by the detectives. Detective Michael Oliver, who fired 31 bullets the night of the shooting and faced manslaughter charges, said Justice Arthur J. Cooperman had made a “fair and just decision.”

Justice Cooperman delivered the verdict in State Supreme Court at 9 a.m. Describing the evidence, he said it was reasonable for the detectives to fear that someone in the crowd that night carried a gun. He added that many of the prosecution’s witnesses, including Mr. Bell’s friends and the two wounded victims, were simply not believable. “At times, the testimony of those witnesses just didn’t make sense,” the judge said. Several supporters of Mr. Bell stormed out of the courtroom, and a few small scuffles followed outside the courthouse. By midafternoon, there were no suggestions of any broader unrest around the city. Mr. Bell’s family and fiancée left without making any comments and drove to visit his grave at the Nassau Knolls Cemetery and Memorial Park in Port Washington.

♫ Madonna gives you Hard Candy!

RATING:
Madonna hits us HARD with her CANDY this Spring with mint production by Timbaland and Pharrell and hot tunes featuring Justin Timberlake! Make sure you all go out and BUY Hard Candy (Warner Bros.) in stores or online (just click the cover on the left!).

The album has full on club bangers like 4 Minutes, Give It To Me, Heartbeat and She’s Not Me among others. Madonna’s Hard Candy is pulsating and enticing to the ear and feet. My favourite standout tracks from here would definitely have to be 4 Minutes (featuring Justin Timberlake), Give It To Me, Beat Goes On, (featuring Kanye West), Dance 2night and Voices! I would say a good quota of the album is urban-disco. Madonna fans, the real-reel fans, will not be disappointed.

If you’re still not quite convinced you can listen to the full album, Hard Candy, by simply clicking the link below and letting me know what you guys think!!

Game 3: Cleveland Cavaliers Vs. Washington Wizards

Wizards Defeats Cavaliers

The Washington Wizards make a comeback Thursday night. Only behind by one victory, the Cleveland Cavaliers was defeated by the Wizards, bringing an end to their winning spree (2-1). The Cleveland Cavaliers lose brutally by a 36 point blowout (108-72). The Wizards was determined to win last night. They won…and they won hard! DeShawn Stevenson had 19 points. Caron Butler scored 17 points. Loyal fans of the Wizards’ backed up Stevenson’s comment by chanting that LeBron James was “overrated” over and over again. Although Stevenson had to swallow his comments before in the two previous games they were defeated in. LeBron had 22 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists. I’m definitely looking for to Game 4.

Game 4 airs Sunday @ 1 on ABC.

Wesley Snipes Sentenced to 3 Years in Jail!

(Photo: Getty Images) 45-year-old Wesley Snipes was sentenced to 3 years in prison today by U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges. The actor has to serve time behind bars because he failed to file his tax returns, reports People.

“I’m very sorry for my mistakes and errors. I apologize to my family, the court and the community,” Snipes said as his wife looked on. “I’ve asked the court to show me mercy and the opportunity to make things right.”

According to reports, Snipes paid $5 million as a gesture of good will at the time of his sentencing, but surprisingly that’s not even half of what he owes. Prosecutors say that he owes close to $41 million in back taxes.

Celebrity Divorce Court … the real thing this time!

JUANITA BYNUM & THOMAS WEEKS

Wow lol, I prematurely titled yesterday’s post about the break-ups between Star Jones & Al Reynolds, and Swizz Beatz & Mashonda “Celebrity Divorce Court.” And ironically, today, news breaks about Juanita Bynum appearing on two episodes of Divorce Court, a real-life court show.

In a special two-part episode of “Divorce Court,” televangelist Juanita Bynum will confirm that she is completely through with her marriage to minister Thomas W. Weeks III, who is currently on probation for beating her in a hotel parking lot. In episodes scheduled to air Thursday and Friday, Bynum says she and Weeks are not planning to reconcile, and in fact, she is “done” with the entire relationship.

“I can’t speak for him, but I no longer want the marriage,” she told Judge Lynn Toler. Weeks’ divorce attorney, Randy Kessler, said on Tuesday that the divorce is moving forward and a mediation date is scheduled for May 13. Reconciliation is not in the works and not even being discussed now,” Kessler said, adding that the show appearance could affect the mediation. [ CLICK HERE TO READ MORE » ]

And you’re just gonna RODOL (Roll over dying of laughter – copyright © Dustin Gary 2008) when you find out who else is gonna get some face time on Divorce Court! Prepare yourself…
