(PHOTO: GETTY IMAGES) The New Orleans Hornets proposed a contract Chris Paul aka CP3 could not refuse reaching an agreement to stay with the Hornets for the next four seasons for a total of $68 Million! Chris Paul, along with many all-star players, has been selected to compete in the 2008 USA Basketball Olympics this year. Under the leagues’ rules the Hornets can’t finalize the contract until July 9th. Last season, Chris Paul led the NBA with averages of 11.6 assists, 2.7 steals. He was the Hornets’ second-leading scorer, averaging 21.1 points in helping the Hornets reach a franchise-record 56 regular season victories. Congrats CP3 make that dough!

Here are some newly released movies that we’ve seen and recommend you go out and see too!

You give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. You give an alcoholic, nonchalant guy some superpowers, and you end up with a wrecked city. A popular movie release this week was “Hancock,” which starred Will Smith. Hancock hit theaters Wednesday (July 2nd), which is particularly unusual for a movie, since most theatrical releases are on Friday. Anyway, I planned on seeing the movie last night but something came up and I didn’t get a chance to make it to the movies. So here’s the official synopsis from Sony Pictures:

There are heroesâ€¦ there are superheroesâ€¦ and then thereâ€™s Hancock (Will Smith). With great power comes great responsibility â€“ everyone knows that â€“ everyone, that is, but Hancock. 2008 Wimbledon Championship: Venus & Serena Dominate In England

WIMBLEDON, ENGLAND // THURSDAY, JULY 3RD 2008 Â» Venus & Serena Williams are at it again dominating in the 2008 Wimbledon Championship games once again! They’ve beaten every challenger they’ve been matched within the lineups. Serena was matched against Zhang Jie of China and took another victory of her to add to all the rest of the won sets in the tournament. Serena hit 14 aces in a (6-2, 7-6) winning the match! Serena also played a doubles match with sister Venus the day prior. Serena holds the 8-7 career edge over her sister Venus but they both still managed to dominate together. Serena says she was definitely challenged by Zhang Jie and it wasn’t easy:

“She definitely pushed me, Serena said, Unbelievable, and not only that she played a great game. She played like she had nothing to lose and she didn’t. I wanted to do more than maker a Wimbledon final, she added. I’m just happy to be back in a Grand Slam final.”

Terrell posted some photos of a recent party Pharrell Williams threw and fell in love with that black/yellow Spongebob t-shirt Skateboard P had on. And I gotta admit, I thought the shirt was pretty dope too! But in the back of my mind, I knew the shirt looked familiar. So I googled the tee and found out that it was made by A Bathing Ape, a Japanese clothing company started by Tomoaki “Nigo” Nagao, and in addition to rocking the line, Pharrell is a big investor for the company.

But anyway, if you’re interested in copping the tee for yourself, according to the Bape site, expect to spend 7,140 Japanese Yen, which translates to about $67 USD in addition to shipping and handling costs, unless of course you live in a city where the store operates (currently: NYC, L.A., London, Hong Kong, Taipei, and all throughout Japan). The shirt comes in two different styles – black shirt and yellow spongebob outline (Pharrell’s shirt) or yellow shirt and dark spongebob outline with orange freckles and green holes.

â€œHip Hop band Gym Class Heroes was in the middle of their set on the Warped Tour in St. Louis Missouri, when frontman Travis McCoy got into an onstage scuffle with an audience member. According the RollingStone.com, the band had just finished their first song when the unnamed man called McCoy a â€œfucking ignorant nigger.â€
