Jazmine Sullivan may be a fresh face to most of you, but some of us know her from a while back in the underground scene. The first time I heard her sultry voice singing over a remake Victoria Beckham‘s “Resentment” (also later covered by Beyonce) a couple of years ago, I couldn’t believe that it was coming from a 19-year-old! The singer (now 20 years old) is now signed to J Records and has released a music video for her debut single, “I Need You Bad.” Check out the T2W premiere of the video above.

In a revealing interview with Complex, former rapper turned celebreality star, Flavor Flav gave us a little too much information about his sex life.
Complex: Where did you lose your virginity?
Flavor Flav: Where did I lose my virginity? I lost my virginity in the bushes on a box.
Complex: Really?
Flavor Flav: Yea, in the bushes on a box. A girl and me were having sex on a box in the bushes, in some big tall bushes.
Complex: How uh…when was this?
Flavor Flav: This was when I was real, real, real, real, young.
Complex: Like elementary school? Or middle school?
Flavor Flav: Nah, I’m a tell you the truth; I lost my virginity when I was 6 years old.
Complex: Really?
Flavor Flav: Yea, man. Because you know we learned to have done the nasty back in the days, and me and this girl we experiment, we were experimenting, and my little joint got hard, I penetrated for about a few seconds.
Complex: I respect that. Early start my man.
Flavor Flav: That’s right early start and guess what and I have a great finish right now. [Laughs] Yessir!

New music from Brandy has been leaked and I must say that it feels good to finally hear her voice again. Brandy has to be one of the most underrated artists I know. Her voice is never bogus and I can’t wait to hear more from her on this upcoming album. She’s working with her long time friend and super producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. Bryan-Michael Cox and Danjahandz is also on board with this new album. Some of tracks will be written by Keri Hilson. Looking at this lineup this album is looking good already. One of the tracks, “List”, is produced by The Underdogs (Jordin Sparks‘s “No Air”, Chris Brown‘s “Take You Down” and more). The track “Sometimes” is a smooth ballad and sounds like it’s produced by B-Cox. Check out both tracks below.

Wesley Snipes Free to Leave the Country For Work
Convicted actor Wesley Snipes has been granted permission by a judge to leave the country and spend three days in London to complete post-production on one movie, and spend eight weeks in Thailand to film another. The actor’s lawyers are currently in the process of appealing his February 2008 conviction of three counts of willfully failing to file his income taxes.
Back in late June, Snipes filed a request in federal court for permission to leave the country. His lawyers’ claim was that him not being able to do those movies would jeopardize his “future livelihood as an actor,” which in turn, would make it hard for him to pay Uncle Sam back.
Oh, okay, I get it! They’ll allow him to leave the country as a convicted felon just so that he can pay the government back. Makes perfect sense. As long as they can get theirs I guess. If this ain’t special treatment, I don’t know what is.
“Mr. Snipes will, of course, voluntarily return after his work on this film—as he has done each time he has been granted permission by this court,” defense attorney Daniel Meachum wrote in Wednesday’s filing, which was obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
Are they forgetting about the time he got ghost back in 2006 and the IRS couldn’t find him? I don’t see this whole situation ending too nicely. Unless he’s being watched 24/7 by some big ass security guards, after all’s said and done, this negro’s gonna be harder to find than Osama Bin Laden.

Contrary to rumors floating around on the ‘net, Nick Cannon says that he’s enjoying the married life. In fact, he says that marriage is the best thing that’s ever happened to him. At the opening of a new Las Vegas club over the weekend, when People questioned nick about his marriage to pop diva Mariah Carey, he said:
“Marriage is amazing. It’s the best thing that ever happened to me.”

The cast of Showtime’s Soul Food is back with Soul Food: The Final Season, the final 14 episodes of the critically acclaimed series are finally coming to DVD! 2008 Essence Music Festival: Day 1
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA // FRIDAY, JULY 4TH 2008 » So many celebs came out to support, perform and attend the 2008 Essence Music Festival this year on Independence Day. Rihanna, Chris Brown, Kanye West and J. Holiday all performed friday night at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and Louisiana Superdome. 2008 Wimbledon Championship: Venus Williams Claims Womens’ Title!
WIMBLEDON, ENGLAND // SATURDAY, JULY 5TH 2008 » Venus & Serena Williams played the final womens’ singles match in the 2008 Wimbledon Championship today in Wimbledon. Venus came out the winner of a very close tiresome match against her sister Serena and was awarded the Venus Rosewater Dish! They both played so ambitiously and you can tell it took at toll on both of them. Venus won both sets (7-5, 6-4) to defeat her sister to claim her 5th Wimbledon title and 7th Grand Slam Championship. Within the first sets, Venus & Serena went back and forth with intense signatures force screams making the game more intense to watch.
