And it’s fair to wonder if the dabblings of sorceress’ apprentices Santogold and M.I.A. have summoned up something exquisitely sinister from the past. Jones has always savored extremes, and here, she’s alternately demonic the toothy gleam of “Corporate Cannibal” and angelic the gloriously autobiographical “Williams’ Blood”. On menacing electro-dub opener “This Is,” her rhymes lock into place like the high-end components of military-grade armament before exuberantly exploding: “This is me / I’m flying again!” And the centerpiece title track featuring Tricky calls up the primal fury of an island storm. If you can handle the experience that is Grace Jones join her and her masquerade of death.

LaLa Vasquez, Young Jeezy, Bobby Valentino and Ciara Attend Hawks Game in Atlanta
Former MTV personality LaLa Vasquez and her son, Kiyan Anthony, hit up the Atlanta Hawks basketball game in ATL as they took on the Denver Nuggets at the Philips Arena on Monday (Dec. 29th). Letter from the Editor: What can we do to make Gossip On This better?
Does anyone besides me feel like the year 2008 just came and went? I mean really, it just seems like we were just closing out 2007 and bringing in 2008. And here it is, exactly one year later, and we’re closing out 2008 and bringing in 2009. Anyway, I’m going to start something new here at Gossip On This. Every few months or so, I’m going to write you guys (the readers) a letter, letting you know about future plans for the site, and to generally ask of your opinions on the current state of the site: what you like, what you hate, what you wish we did more of, what you wish we did less of, celebrities you want to hear more about, celebrities you wish we’d stop talking about, features you’d like on the site, features you hate on the site, and anything and everything else you can possibly think of.
2009 is right around the corner, and with us being online for about 2 years, we’ve become a little seasoned (in blogger’s terms). New celebrity blogs open up every day, and most don’t even make it to 6 months without the writers getting bored and just giving up and closing up shop. Well, we here at Gossiponthis.com are not bored and plan to be around for a very long time. With magazine subscriptions on a slow and steady decline, and subscriptions to celebrity blog RSS feeds on a fast rise, all celebrity blogs are going to be around for a while. Hell, we just got here!
But with that said, I wanted to ask you … all of you. What exactly do you want? What exactly will bring you back here every day, several times a day? What will spark your interest and make you want to become an active commenter? Without the thousands of you that visit the site every day, we wouldn’t even exist. So your opinions and suggestions do matter. So drop us a comment and let us know what will make Gossiponthis.com home for you every time you boot up your computers and laptops and hop on the internet.
Positive (and negative) comments are both welcome. Just don’t go in too harsh on us.

Musically talented twin brothers Marvelous and Cezz have decided to take their skills nationwide by forming the rap duo New Breed. In other words, Marvelous and Cezz are counting on their upcoming debut album 15 Minutes ‘Till Fame to bring them more than a mere 15 minutes.

JAIMEE FOXWORTH EXPECTING FIRST CHILD » The last time we heard from Jaimee Foxworth, she was slangin’ ass in porno flicks and had acquired a nice little addiction to marijuana. But times are much better for the former Family Matters cast member, who was recently on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. According to People.com, she’s 5 months pregnant by her longtime boyfriend, and plans on releasing an autobiography in mid-2009. She’s also working on a hip-hop album and a reality show.
“I haven’t been this happy in years,” says 29-year-old Foxworth. “I am excited about what the future holds for us. Being sober has opened my eyes to a whole new world,” she says. “I’ve been through a lot of pain in the past and I never really wanted a child until recently. I now look forward to years of joy to share with my child.”

Beyonce and Jay-Z together, without a doubt, is the definition of “black love.” For our generation at least! They’ve been together for over 5 years, and have close to $170 million in the bank (combined), making them Hollywood’s richest couple! Much of their relationship is kept private, but their lives as celebrities, coupled with their fame and huge success as artists and entrepreneurs, makes it hard not to want to know more about them! We put them at the top of our list this time last year, but the only difference between then and now is that they are married. The two decided to tie the knot in a “private” ceremony in April 2008. And if you were around and living on planet earth, you definitely heard about it! After People.com announced that the two had taken out a marriage license in New York, the events that happened the weekend of April 4th 2008 were inevitable. After several black SUVs with heavily tinted windows were seen entering Jay-Z’s Manhattan apartment, in addition to the dozens of vans bringing in wedding decorations, we all knew what was going on.
Every paparazzo in the world set up shop outside of the apartment and snapped photos of Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s sister), Tina & Mathew Knowles (Beyonce’s parents), Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland, Irv Gotti, and more entering the apartment building’s ground-level garage. The list went on and on, but after seeing all of these people entering one place, we knew Beyonce and Jay-Z were DEFINITELY getting married. People.com actually confirmed it the next morning, and shortly after, we spotted the two wearing their wedding bands. These two getting married was definitely the talk of the blogosphere for the months to follow. And even though “Jayonce” never really confirmed their wedding, in several interviews that followed (Oprah, The Tyra Banks show, Essence Magazine, etc.) they were referred to as husband and wife, and neither contested it. But these two are the same people who never confirmed their initial relationship, so we’re definitely used to it!

Michael Jackson is NOT Dying!
A guy writing an unauthorized biography for Michael Jackson put out a nasty rumor about the King of Pop, saying that he was 95% blind in one eye, was fighting for his life, and that he needed a lung transplant. And British tabloid, The Sun, assisted with the distribution of said rumor and every major media outlet in the world caught on to it and spread it around the internet. Well, none of that ish is true, according to a rep for MJ, who said:
“Concerning this author’s allegations, we would hope in the future that legitimate media will not continue to be exploited by such an obvious attempt to promote this unauthorized ‘biography. The writer’s wild allegations concerning Mr. Jackson’s health are a total fabrication,” the statement continued.
Damn this recession! People will do ANYTHING for a check these days.
Hosea Thomas (The Man Who Killed T.I.’s Friend) Sentenced to 66 Years in Prison
The guy responsible for murdering T.I.‘s childhood friend and assistant, Philant Johnson, was sentenced to 66 years in prison. Hosea Thomas received his sentencing in an Ohio courtroom one day before Christmas Eve (Dec. 23rd) after being convicted in November for the murder of Johnson, stemming from a gunfire exchange in May 2006. Justice has definitely been served!
As of yet, no more information has been released as far as parole eligibility and when his sentence actually begins. But we do know math, and since Hosea Thomas is 40 years old, he’ll be 106 years old when he’s released from prison. Or dead … whichever comes first. Even though this won’t bring Philant Johnson back, T.I. and Johnson’s other friends and family can rest a little easier.
Nelly’s Ready to Propose to Ashanti … But Mama Douglas Ain’t Havin’ It!
As the headline states, rapper Nelly is ready to propose to longtime singer girlfriend Ashanti, but there’s one problem. You see, most men have the future “father-in-law” to worry about, but the situation is totally different for Nelly. Ashanti’s mom, Tina Douglas, is apparenty c**k blocking and doesn’t want her daughter to get married. At least not right now…
“Tina sticks her nose in everything because she’s also Ashanti’s manager,” a source tells Star Magazine. “She’s always pushing Ashanti to make more money, to always look great. It stresses her out, and Nelly doesn’t like that.”
The rapper, 34, has tried to encourage Ashanti, 28, to become more independent, but “Tina has such a strong personality that she’s kind of afraid of her.” Still, if the singer doesn’t put her mom in her place soon, she won’t be getting that rock she’s been hoping for.
“Before he makes her his wife,” adds the source, “Nelly wants to know that Ashanti can make decisions on her own.”
