Nigeria has had a tough time at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London this year.

First, the country’s men’s basketball team received a thorough clock cleaning from the U.S. team on Thursday, resulting in a blistering and record-setting 156-73 defeat.

Then, Blessing Okagbare represented Nigeria in the 100m sprint in London and she was on point during the qualifying and semi-finals, but she flamed out at 8th place in the finals, apparently due to “cramping.”

But forget about where Okagbare finished. Can we talk about the two-toned wig (as seen above) that she decided to sport on the world stage?

And folks were complaining about Gabby Douglas‘ hair.

The sad thing is Blessing has worn much more sensible hair systems in the past. For example:

See! Lovely, sensible and elegant. Just the way she should’ve represented her country. Nothing like that wretched half-caramel, half-licorice wig she threw on her head on Friday.

Blessing deserves credit though, because we imagine it was difficult to keep that thing secured while running faster than the speed light.

There’s probably an endorsement for wig glue in her future.
