Taye Diggs & Idina MenzelActor Taye Diggs and his wife of 6 years Idina Menzel welcomed their first son in the world Wednesday (Sep 2), People confirms. The new parents named their son “Walker.”

“Mother, father and son are all doing well,” the reps said in a statement.

Diggs and Menzel, both 38, met on the set of the Broadway production of Rent back in 1996. They got married 7 years later in January 2003.

Actors Charlie Murphy and Forest Whitaker were spotted on location for their new comedy movie “Family Wedding” at Clafoutis, a restaurant located on Sunset Plaza in Los Angeles.

The movie, which according to IMDB, also stars Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera, Regina King and Lance Gross is set to be released sometime next year.
