The L.A. Lakers climbed up the playoff ladder like it was as easy as taking candy from a baby. Kobe Bryant dominated last night’s game against the Denver Nuggets with a total of 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, ultimately winning straight games against Denver (4-0). Last night’s final score resulted at (107-101). Pau Gasol had 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists last night. Lakers’ teammate Luke Walton tells how happy he is to have K.B. on his team:

“He is unbelievable,” Luke Walton said of Bryant, his teammates and one of the MVP favorites. “It’s always so comforting knowing you have the best closer in basketball. They were making huge plays down the stretch, but Kobe came right back to do whatever it took: huge plays, steals or an incredible shots like that fadeaway over Kenyon Martin from the top of the key. He wanted it badly tonight and we followed his lead.”

Game 3: L.A. Lakers Vs. Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets can seem to get it right. I don’t know if it’s intimidation of Kobe Bryant or what. The L.A. Lakers win a another victorious game last night by 18 (102-84). The stats are now in the Lakers favor with their own winning rampage (3-0). Top player of last night’s game has to be Kobe Bryant. Kobe scored 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. Pau Gasol had 14 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds. Lamar Odom had 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. Allen Iverson was disappointed about the loss and knows he wasn’t on his best skills last night. Iverson had a total of 15 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds. A.I. said after the game:

“I was getting to the basket, I just wasn’t finishing.” Ivo added, “And the same thing happened to ‘Melo’.”

Game 2: L.A. Vs. Denver

(Photos: Getty Images) The L.A. Lakers redefined themselves last night with a huge win and leading them with a score of 2-0 in the playoffs. The final score went to the L.A. Lakers (122-107). No one could stop Kobe Bryant last night, scoring 19 points within a time span of 4:19 of the 4th quarter. K.B. had a total of 49 points and 10 assists. Pau Gasol had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Luke Walton had 18 points. Opponent Allen Iverson responded after the game:

“Tonight, the way he was going, we probably could’ve put 10 people on the court and probably wouldn’t have been able to stop him [Kobe].”

(Photos: Getty Images) The most valuable player of yesterday afternoon’s game is Pau Gasol. He was definetly on point with his offense and did more than exceptionally well on defense. Gasol had 36 points, 8 assists, 16 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots. L.A. took the victory with a 14-point win (128-114). Kobe Bryant scored 18 points of his total 32 points in the last 8 minutes of the game to make sure they’ll lead the victory. Lamar Odom had 17 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists. On the opposing team, Carmelo Anthony was MVP out of his teammates scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals. Allen Iverson had 30 points as well before he was immediately removed for 2 technical fouls. L.A. Lakers’ MVP of the game, Pau Gasol, said at the end of the game:

“It feels amazing, it feels great. I had a blast out there.” Gausol said, “We did a pretty good job, we can do better. We’re happy with the win, I’m happy with the win. Hopefully there will be many more.”

Game 2 for the L.A. Lakers is Wednesday night.
