Apparently … celebrities aren’t the only ones stepping up to the help the victims of Japan’s earthquake and tsunami. Billion dollar companies are getting in on the charitable occasion as well.
A pair of American billionaires, Do Won Chang and his wife Jin Soon Chang, announced that they would donate an entire day’s worth of global online sales from their retail chain, Forever 21, to the American Red Cross to help aid the grief-stricken people of Japan.

Hip-Hop newcomer Wiz Khalifa hit up the 2011 mtvU Woodie Awards with his new girlfriend Amber Rose this past Wednesday night (Mar 16) in Austin, TX.
Solidifying their status as an official couple, the pair posed for lots of pics on the red carpet outside the Austin Music Hall before making their way into the building to catch the show, which featured performances from a few artists including Wiz.
Amber aka the former “ill bitch to a rock star”, who just snagged her own satellite radio show on Jamie Foxx’s “The Foxxhole,” recently spoke on her new relationship with the “Black and Yellow” rapper.
“He’s my favorite person in the whole world,” she said. “I like to spend a lot of time with him and we have fun together. He’s really a real positive person, great personality and everyone who meets him, loves him. He’s really, really dope.”

Petey Pablo, who was arrested at Raleigh-Durham International Airport for carrying a firearm in his luggage this past October, plead guilty to his gun charge on Wednesday (Mar 16).
Pablo claims that he forgot the firearm was in his bag, after it was taken from a distressed friend who was threatening to use the weapon. As a result of the recent guilty plea, the “Freek-A-Leek” rapper faces up to ten years behind bars.

Black Eyed Peas Perform “Just Can’t Get Enough” On American Idol
Last night on American Idol, The Black Eyed Peas hit the stage to perform their latest single from their The Beginning album, “Just Can’t Get Enough.” The group later revealed that the performance was in honor of the people in Japan due to them filming their music video for the track just 1 week prior to the earthquake/tsunami that devastated the island country a week ago today.

Mel Gibson Turns Himself in Over Battery Charges [MUGSHOT]
Here’s Mel Gibson’s mugshot which was taken late Wednesday night (Mar 16) in connection with his criminal battery case against his baby mother Oksana Grigorieva. As expected, Mel rolled over to the El Segundo Police Department on to have his picture and thumb prints taken after the actor pled no contest to simple battery last week.
As previously reported, Mel was sentenced to 16 hours of community service and 52 weeks of counseling … along with 36 months of informal probation.

Rihanna squashed rumors that she’s dating actor Ryan Phillipe last night in Hollywood. When asked about the rumors by a photog as she was out and about in the Los Feliz area of the city, the singer quickly responded with:

Billy Ray Cyrus has dropped the divorce proceedings against his wife of 17 years, Tish, and now the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer says he’s working on putting his family back together. Billy Ray’s lawyer filed a “voluntarily dismissal and non-suit” on March 11th to end the divorce proceedings, which were originally filed in October.
