Female rapper Trina and her boyfriend, NBA player Kenyon Martin, were both involved in a fender bender in Belize today, reports TMZ. Kenyon is in town for a charity basketball event he is hosting Saturday night. According the popular news/gossip site, when they were leaving the airport, their car was side-swiped by another vehicle, which resulted in them being run off the road. Kenyon’s rep says that the two of them are fine, and no one was seriously injured.
NAOMI CAMPBELL TRIES TO SKIP OUT ON HOTEL BILL » The Ritz Carlton hotel in Moscow, Russia wants supermodel Naomi Campbell to pay up to the tune of $400 for allegedly ruining some silk sheets in a room she was staying in last week. According to SF Gate, when Nay-Nay and her “billionaire lover” Vladislav Doronin left, cleaning staff went through the room and found holes burned into its silk bed sheets. But of course her rep came to her defense claiming that the allegations were not true.
“She didn’t have candles on the sheets. She did not smoke in the hotel room. It is completely untrue,” said her spokesperson.

50 Cent’s suing Taco Bell, and now the Rollingstones are suing Lil Wayne.
Abkco Music Inc, a musical publishing company that owns the rights to the band’s song “Play With Fire” sued the rapper in Manhattan federal court Thursday, saying he released an altered version of the song without permission. The company is suing Lil Wayne, his guest artists and his record company, a unit of Universal Music Group, of copyright infringement and unfair competition. Abkco also said that Lil Wayne’s version uses “explicit, sexist and offensive language” and could lead the public to believe the company and the Rolling Stones approved of and authorized the new version. According to The NY POST, Diddy will pose as Barack Obama for a fashion spead in an upcoming issue of Vogue.
The hip-hop honcho will pay tribute to the Democratic candidate in an upcoming issue of Italian men’s fashion magazine L’uomo Vogue by posing as the potential world leader, according to reports.
A source tells the New York Post, “He is sitting in the Oval Office, running for president and making campaign stops. All in high fashion, of course.”
I’m not sure if Diddy will be sporting clothes from his line but, I am curious to see how this spread will turn out. What do y’all think about it?

Well gee, those engagement rumors about Diddy & Cassie didn’t take too long to squash, did they? I don’t even think it’s been a good 24 hours. Diddy’s rep told People:
“Contrary to tabloid reports, there is no engagement. This was a complete fabrication,” states Combs’s rep.
But wait, who’s that happy couple all hugged up on Mother’s Day? Hey, that’s Diddy and Cassie! Something tells me this isn’t the end of this whole “Diddy & Cassie” saga. Sean John knows his talent-less jump-off needs some promo for this upcoming album.
PHOTO: GETTY IMAGES According to MTV, 50 Cent filed a lawsuit against Taco Bell Corp. for making him an unauthorized spokesman for a recent ad campaign the restaurant chain was promoting. 50 and his defense attorneys filed a lawsuit for “unjust promotion”. Supposedly the company addressed a letter to 50 asking him to change his stage name from “50 Cent” to either “79, 89 or 99 Cent”. In the letter, this is what the company proposed:
“We know that you adopted the name 50 Cent years ago as a metaphor for change. We at Taco Bell are also huge advocates for change. We encourage you to ‘Think Outside the Bun’ and hope you accept our offer.”

Bow Wow & Danity Kane both premiered thier new videos for the recording of FNMTV yesterday. Bow Wow premiered his latest single, “Marco Polo” featuring Soulja Boy, which will be on his new upcoming album Pedigree. Danity Kane finally released another single, “Bad Girl” featuring Missy Elliott, and the premiered their video for thier single. DK’s album Welcome To The Dollhouse (Bad Boy/Atlantic) is now in stores! P!nk is someone we haven’t seen in awhile! She was there as a guest co-host commentator. P!nk also has a new album to be released sometime this year. She actually has a video that’ll be premiering on FNMTV next friday (August 1st) for her single “So What”. They were actually practicing at a local high school to prepare them for the official games. They played against selected rookies including Derrick Rose as well for preparation. Omarion is the latest male celebrity to go from rocking braids to rocking a short haircut. The former B2K member was recently spotted with his new ‘do at Ghana’s “State Of The Republic” concert last weekend. I spoke with R&B singer Lloyd last week, and we were talking about how a lot of these guys are cutting their hair off. So I asked him if he had any plans to follow suit, and his response was:
“Nah man, they cut theirs off because they can’t rock it like I rock mine!”

It was announced about a month ago that R&B singer Amerie had found herself a new home at Def Jam records, after parting ways with Columbia Records earlier this year. Above you can check out her HOT new promo, which is probably linked to her new album that is supposed to be coming out real soon. Hopefully Def Jam can attempt to revive her career over here in the U.S., because Columbia just couldn’t get it right for some reason. Neither of her albums have reached platinum, and only one hit gold (barely).

As you already know, the Obama family is on the cover of the latest issue of People magazine. People.com posted a few photos and a few snippets from the exclusive interview, and after reading through everything, I learned a few new things about this powerful black family. And I thought to myself, instead of highlighting much of the negative aspects of the black community, this is what CNN should have been showing last night on their “Black in America” special, but I’ll save my thoughts on that for another post. Michelle: No, because we spend hundreds of dollars on a birthday party and movie tickets and pizza and popcorn …
Barack: That sleepover is enough. We want to teach some limits to them. And their friends bring over presents.
Michelle: They get so much stuff that it just becomes numbing. Malia believes there is still a Santa Claus even though she’s a little wary because some of her friends are non-believers. But Malia says, “Ma, I know there is a Santa because there’s no way you’d buy me all that stuff.” [Laughing]
