Rapper 2 Chainz was reportedly robbed at gunpoint this weekend in San Francisco, but now the We Own It rapper is using his Twitter page to deny that the robbery even took place.
“Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post items that has been taken. Rings, chains, watch, money etc,” 2 Chainz tweeted.
“Rule #2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies,” he continued.
“Rule #3 we definitely got geeked up in San Fran, best smoke in the world. 2 blessed 2 stress,” he finished.
2 Chainz’ denials about him being robbed are correct, sort of.
While 2 Chainz himself wasn’t robbed, a member of his entourage was. Chainz and his entourage were approached by a man with a gun, who fired a shot into the air. Everyone ran from the scene, but someone in the group fell and was robbed “of an unknown item.”
San Francisco police confirmed that the incident took place, but that everyone involved “are being very uncooperative.”
They added that they “ran away from the incident like cockroaches running from a flashlight.” Police also told TMZ that the rapper told them that he wants to handle the incident himself.
The incident reportedly happened on Sunday (Jun 9) a few hours before 2 Chainz was scheduled to perform at a local radio station’s Summer Jam concert at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. Three men, including one with a gun, reportedly approached Chainz’ entourage before they fled the scene.
