Despite numerous reports saying otherwise, Drake will NOT be arrested for the Chris Brown fight that went down last week in New York City.
The NYPD confirmed with multiple major media outlets that they have no plans to arrest Drake, and said that that they have “no suspects, complaints or arrest warrants at this time.”
A report came out Saturday morning (Jun 16) claiming that Drake would be arrested on reckless endangerment charges for his apparent involvement in a brawl between his people and Chris Brown’s people.
Though there are no confirmed reports of what really happened, witnesses were saying that Drake initiated the fight (by trash talking and throwing a bottle in Chris’ direction), but his reps say that Drake had nothing to do with the altercation, and claim that he was on his way out of the building when it started.
Chris Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos has been very vocal in naming Drake as the main culprit in the incident.
“I have turned over evidence that it was Drake who instigated this … The evidence makes it clear that Chris is the victim in all of this,” Geragos told the NY Post.
He continued, “I believe the police are building a case against Drake and his thugs … Clearly, Drake was the instigator, and there is evidence he threw glassware.”
