Lea Michele will get a chance to flex her singing chops at this year’s Super Bowl!

The “Glee” actress, who plays Rachel Berry in the hit FOX musical TV show, will sing “America the Beautiful” in the pre-game opening ceremony before the big showdown between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers next month during Super Bowl XLV. The 24-year-old joins Faith Hill, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Ray Chares, and other singers who have performed the song during previous Super Bowls.

As we previously reported, Christina Aguilera is scheduled to perform the national anthem, while the Black Eyed Peas will take center-field during the half-time show. And since Super Bowl XLV will air on FOX, the network plans to show a special Super Bowl themed episode of “Glee” immediately after the game, which goes down at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, February 6th.
