Phoenix Suns star Amare Stoudemire‘s mom got into a little bit of trouble over the weekend and went “bananas” on police.
According to a police report, Carrie Mae Stoudemire was arrested Saturday morning for driving recklessly and refusing to take a sobriety test in Scottsdale, Arizona. Not long after the NBA ball player’s mom was handcuffed by police, Amare decided to arrive on the scene and play “superman,” only to cause more mayhem that had already occurred before.
Once Amare was on the scene, his mother Carrie instantly began to kick a patrol car and shouted out to her son “Get a lawyer!” Police then had to step in and of course ask Amare to leave the scene so that his mother would calm down.
Carrie was later booked for speeding, failure to drive in a single lane and operating a vehicle with a court-ordered breathalyzer ignition interlock device.
Wow! Is Amare Stoudemire’s mom related to Madea or something? Just asking…
