Natalie Portman can now call herself an Oscar winner! The 29-year-old actress won the Academy Award for “Best Actress in a Leading Role” at the Oscars last night (Sun. Feb 27) for her performance as a ballerina gone crazy in the hit movie “Black Swan.”
“Thank you. Thank you so much. This is insane!” the first-time Oscar winner said when she accepted her award. “I want to thank my parents for giving me the opportunity to work from such an early age. My beautiful love, Benjamin, who has now given me my most important role of my life,” she gushed. “Most importantly, my family, my friends, and my love, thank you so much.”
Portman showed off her baby bump in a deep purple dress designed by Rodarte (who also designed the costumes for “Black Swan”) as she arrived on the red carpet and posed for photos outside the Kodak Theater in Hollywood just before the ceremony kicked off.

Sandra Bullock stepped out in a long red gown Sunday night (Feb 27) on the red carpet of the 2011 Oscars. Bullock was on hand to present the Oscar Award for Best Actor, which ultimately went to Colin Firth for his role in “The King’s Speech.”
Just a few days after last year’s Oscars, Bullock (who won her first Oscar for her role in “The Blind Side”) was involved in a media frenzy surrounding the infidelity of her then husband Jesse James. But now, a year later, Sandra is looking at things positively.
“It’s made me a better person,” she said about her new role as a mom while speaking with NBC’s Maria Menounos during the Oscar pre-show. “I’m more patient and accommodating. I really appreciate where I am.”
