This past Wednesday (May 11), outgoing Windy City mayor Richard Daley honored the legacy of his city’s greatest daytime personality, Oprah Winfrey, by naming a block in front of her Harpo Studios “Oprah Winfrey Way!”
“Your presence in Chicago has been a gift,” the mayor told Winfrey, 57, at the unveiling ceremony, adding that she is “a great ambassador for our city.”

Chris Brown was spotted out and about at The Grove in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon (May 10) treating himself to a shopping spree. The R&B singer, who recently turned 22 years old, was dressed casually in a white tee and jeans while looking for new attire. He even bumped into “Extra” host Mario Lopez along the way!
In other Chris news, he is teaming up with his “little brother” Justin Bieber to shoot the video for “Next 2 U,” the next single off of his F.A.M.E. album.
“Being able to collab with Bieber was great,” Chris told MTV News. “He’s a young, energetic cat, so being able to work with him, with the fanbase he has, was incredible. I know a lot of little girls are going to love this record.”

Taylor Swift recently made a guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres show, and revealed that she doesn’t care about the paparazzi invading her personal space and the media honing in on her relationships.
“I’ve just come to an acceptance of the fact that this is my life,” Swift told Ellen. “If someone wants to hide a relationship or has privacy issues, then we don’t have the same viewpoint. Cause for me it’s just, live your life, if people happen to take pictures then, you know, you laugh about it in the car afterward. It’s whatever.”
After her short interview, Taylor hit the stage for a debut TV performance of her new single “The Story of Us.”

After falling ill while performing a concert in the Philippines Tuesday night (May 10), the Pop star insisted that the show must go on.
The “Baby” singer was reportedly diagnosed with a severe chest infection and was advised to either cut his show in half or cancel it altogether. But Justin, who had originally agreed to an abbreviated show, refused to let his fans down once he hit the stage and ended up performing the full concert.

It turns out that musical legend Prince had no idea his concert organizers banned Whitney Houston from his shows.
The 52-year-old award-winning singer says Whitney, who has recently enrolled in rehab as an out-patient for drug and alcohol addiction, is “always welcome 4 all eternity” in his concerts.
TMZ first broke the news that Whitney was blacklisted from attending Prince’s shows after his people became fed up with her erratic behavior and constant ticket demands. Whitney apparently appeared to be “intoxicated” at each Prince show she attended in the last few weeks.

After previously denying that she had any form of surgery, Bristol Palin has finally come clean and admitted that she did indeed have surgery that has altered the way she looks.
Bristol revealed to US Weekly that she underwent a procedure that has given her a new jaw line.
Romeo Voted off “Dancing with the Stars”
Romeo and his dance partner Chelsie Hightower were the seventh couple to be eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday night (May 10).
The 21-year-old actor/rapper was voted off the show after his Monday night routine earned him the evening’s second-lowest total, with 52 out of 60 possible points.
After his elimination, Romeo said, “I’m surprised because that was one of my best dances last night. But at the same time I’m not surprised, because of the competition this year. To be honest, I feel good. If this was last week, my head would be down. It’s one of those things. If you go out with a bang, you have no regrets. I gave it 110 percent yesterday.”

Beyonce covers the latest issue of Billboard Magazine, which comes just days after it was announced that the megastar will be presented with the inaugural Billboard Millennium Award later this month.
Inside the pages of the magazine, Beyonce talks about her new single “Run the World (Girls),” what it means to be an icon for female empowerment and more. She also reveals that her upcoming fourth studio album will be called “4,” which has several special, personal meanings to her.
“We all have special numbers in our lives, and 4 is that for me,” she says. “It’s the day I was born. My mother’s birthday and a lot of my friends’ birthdays are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date.”
