Lauryn Hill just popped out a baby last week, and she’s already back to performing!
Just one week after giving birth to her sixth child, the singer/songwriter hit the stage in front of a packed crowd at the L.A. Rising Music Festival in downtown Los Angeles Saturday (Aug 30).
Continuing their recent trend of supporting each other professionally, Beyonce and Kelly Rowland posed for a friendly picture together as they supported Jay-Z and Kanye West — collectively known as The Throne — at their official “Watch the Throne” album release party last night at the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History.
Also spotted at the album release party was Beyonce’s sister Solange, actress Jada Pinkett-Smith, rappers Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes, and NYC hotel mogul Andre Balazs.

After being released from prison on July 17th, following her acquittal in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Casey Anthony has been ordered to return to Orlando and serve out a year of probation on check fraud charges.
Last year, Judge Stan Strickland of Orange County sentenced Anthony to one year of probation on charges that she had stolen a friend’s checkbook and forged several checks.
When she was released from jail last month, the Dept. of Corrections assumed Casey had served her probation while she was behind bars. However, on Thursday, Strickland said that he intended for Anthony to immediately report to supervised probation upon her release from jail.
According to reports, Casey must return to Orlando within 72 hours. When contacted, Casey’s attorney did not return requests for comment.
On July 5th, a jury acquitted Anthony of charges in her daughter Caylee’s death. Her whereabouts since her release from prison 12 days later have been unknown.
It has not been verified where in Orlando Casey will be located, for obvious reasons.
A lot of speculation has arisen since the death of British singer Amy Winehouse. One story in particular that caught people’s attention was that after spending many months on the island of St. Lucia, Winehouse was in the process of adopting a 10 year old St. Lucian girl at the time of her death.
After quitting Twitter last year, country-pop singer Miley Cyrus is back on the social network site and this time she’s openly defending gay rights.
Cyrus posted a picture of the equal sign tattoo she recently got inked on her ring finger — a pro-gay rights sign — and along with it tweeted the message “All LOVE is equal.”
