Biggie’s son, CJ Wallace, got an amazing opportunity to ring the opening bell of the NASDAQ stock market yesterday morning in New York City. Your girl Rihanna has been spotted out and about rocking a fairly expensive piece of jewelry on her wedding ring finger. Did her boyfriend Chris Brown give it to her following a New Year’s Eve engagement proposal? Even though they haven’t publicly acknowledged their relationship, the two have been “dating” for a while, and the ring on her finger looks a lot like an expensive engagement ring. And let’s not mention the engagement rumors that have been surrounding them for a little while now. So are they engaged to be marry? Probably so, but we won’t hear it from them or their people. [GOSSIP REPORT] Charles Barkley Busted for DUI // DMX Robbed // GMC Cancels 50 Cent Truck
CHARLES BARKLEY ARRESTED FOR SUSPICION OF DUI » Your boy Charles Barkley was busted by the cops because they suspected he was driving under the influence of alcohol a couple of weeks ago in Phoenix, Arizona. An officer spotted Sir Charles as he ran a stop sign at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2008 in Scottsdale’s Old Town area, a reportedly trendy spot in the Phoenix area. But anyway, when the news hit the web, the former NBA star immediately released a statement to the press:
“I am disappointed that I put myself in that situation,” Barkley said in a statement to The Associated Press. “The Scottsdale police were fantastic. Now it is a legal matter and I will not comment any further as it is a legal matter.”
According to reports, 45-year-old Barkley failed field sobriety tests after the officer who pulled him over smelled alcohol on his breath. He was subsequently arrested, but refused to submit to a breath test. He was instead given a blood test, of which the results aren’t available yet. After a short time in jail, Barkley was cited and released. Police described Barkley as cooperative, and to make sure people didn’t give them the “side-eye,” they mentioned that it was customary to release people after a DUI arrest.
And what about Barkley’s reason for being in the area? You know that whole, “You have the right to remain silent” mumbo jumbo? Charles apprently didn’t give a f**k because he told police he was on the way to receive a favor from a friend of his, or as he so eloquently put it, to go “get a bl** job.” He said he had been there a week before, but she gave him “the beset one he ever had in his life,” and he was looking to for a second round that night.
No word on if the police actually asked Barkley where he was going or if Barkley just decided he wanted to tell the po-po of his whereabouts. We’ll let you know as soon as we do!

One thing to note about this track is that instead of doing his usual singing, Chris Brown decided to try his hand at rapping by spitting a few tired lines. Note to Chris: Do what you do best, and don’t try this rapping sh*t ever again! Other than that … the song seems to be pretty cool. The beat’s catchy. My only beef (besides Chris’ subpar rapping) was that I felt like the song ended before it really began. The beat started up, Rihanna did her little thing, Chris did his “rapping” thing … and then that was it. Anyway, you know how we do around here … ROCK IT OR DROP IT?!

[POLITICAL ROUND-UP] Obama Reveals His Recovery Plan // Stocks Fall Lower // Malia & Sasha’s First Day Of School
PRESIDENT-ELECT OBAMA REVEALS ECONOMIC RECOVER PLAN IN D.C. » There’s no doubt that President-Elect Barack Obama has a lot on his agenda when he officially enters the office on Jan. 20th, but for now he is working hard with his administration on creating a plan to help bring America’s economy back on its feet. He began his campaign on Monday for a tremendous package of tax cuts and spending proposals to boost an economy that was officially confirmed as being in a recession last year. A tax cut in the amount of $300 billion dollars will be proposed for individuals and businesses. The President-elect has not put a price tag on the overall amount for his stimulus plan, however his advisers expect the amount to fall between $675 billon and $775 billion. It is also known that 40% of the amount would be in tax cuts. Several tax breaks are also being considered.
According to Barack Obama’s plan, he would offer a tax cut equal to $500 a year for individuals and $1,000 for couples. The credit given would work as a payroll tax credit, in other words the money would be distributed quickly because companies could reduce the tax withheld from employees’ paychecks.

The appear to be very serious and really don’t look happy to be out and about together, which definitely correlates with rumors of them publicly calling it quits on Valentine’s Day.
