According to Contact Music, Michael Jackson, the undisputed King of Pop, wants to work with Ne-Yo, Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas for comeback tracks that are set to be released this summer. Kanye West also wants to join in the mix and has submitted a track for Jackson’s approval.
Jackson is heading back into the studio to record new songs ahead of his live dates – and he’s calling on the music heavyweights to make a killer tune for release this summer (09). Britain’s News of the World reports that the King of Pop is being helped by Will.i.am and R&B star Ne-Yo on his comeback efforts, and adds that Kanye West has submitted a track for Jackson’s approval.
Rihanna partied it up to celebrate her 21st birthday with a few of her celebrity friends over the weekend in Manhattan. Sources say the pop singer shared a dinner Friday evening at the Spotted Pig restaurant in New York City with Brandy, Beyonce and Jay-Z. Just woke up from finishing some work in the studio late last night to some eager phone calls as to whether or not I am Engaged…. No, I am not. Point blank, period. Pretty funny. I really don’t have a lot to say about it… I think since I announced the title of my new album “Elope” these rumors seem to be looming around lately… It’s an album title and a title track. And to me “Elope” represents taking control of my life and being an adult making my own responsible decisions. Despite anyone’s judgment…. I have not run off and Eloped either, LOL. So….that being said.. Stay focused and to anyone who thinks my life is a Publicity stunt… GROW UP. Life is short, enjoy it and stop picking on what I do.

Here’s “I Really Want,” (prod. by Tricky Stewart) a new track from Rick Ross and his label mate, The Dream. Ross’ new album, Deeper Than Rap, is set for an April 2009 release.
Further proof of Chris Brown and Rihanna getting “back together” has been confirmed. How, you ask? According to sources close to the case, Chris’ lawyer, Mark Geragos, wants the judge to give Rihanna a pass from testifying due to all of the leaks in the case. TMZ reports:
We’re told Geragos and Rihanna’s lawyer, Donald Etra, believe Rihanna was compromised when her name surfaced as the alleged victim in the beating. They claim this and other leaks violate her privacy rights and therefore she should not have to further put herself out to the public by testifying against Brown in the case. It’s further proof Rihanna and Brown are back together and in lockstep. Geragos asked to meet with the judge in chambers, along with the prosecutors, on March 23 to discuss letting Rihanna off the hook. Brown’s arraignment is set for April 6.

R&B singer The Dream, who recently released his sophomore album, Love vs. Money, loved his collaboration with Kanye West (“Walking On The Moon“) so much that he wants to record an ENTIRE album with the rapper.
“Everybody is trying to talk us into it,” Dream said of his and West’s friends and business associates. “It was first thought of by me. I was in Miami at the time, and I gave Kanye a call and said, ‘The best thing would be for me and you to do an album.’ I feel he’s at a certain place in hip-hop, I’m at a certain place in R&B, and lyrically, I’m just in a certain place in my lifetime. Let’s take the best of both worlds and put it on a CD and try to make something we can sell to the consumers. He says he’s with it. We’re gonna try to make it happen. I told him, ‘Let me lift my profile up a little bit.’ ”

Reps for Kanye didn’t comment on the joint album, but The Dream said that once they got the concept down, recording “wouldn’t take long at all,” and we believe him! Both he and Kanye recorded their latest albums in less than a week, and if you put their minds together in a studio, they could probably finish a 10 – 15 track album in a 24 hour period … no joke. Gospel singer Bebe Winans, who was recently charged with misdemeanor domestic assault released the following statement over the weekend:
“To be accused of these allegations, which arose out of a child custody right dispute and my desire to spend time with our children as court ordered, is nothing less than heart wrenching. Since I choose to say nothing negative about my children’s mother, I will make no comment other than to say the allegations are inconsistent with my character and the foundation upon which I was raised and I am prayerful that the matter is straightened out very soon for the sake of our children.”
According to court documents, the 46-year-old gospel star was charged after allegedly getting into an argument with his ex-wife, Debra, about their children back in February. Debra told authorities that Bebe pushed her to the ground, and after he was arrested and booked last Thursday, he posted $1,000 bond.

We guess all of the denials and screaming “pass!” in interviews got old for old Ricky. His reason for taking that job as a CO? He was just “doing his job.”

Your boy Nick Cannon just got a new gig at Nickelodeon as chairman of “TEENick,” which will be replacing “The N,” nickelodeon’s teen television network. Via press release:
As TEENick’s Chairman, Cannon will serve as creative consultant and provide his vision on several projects for the teen network and its development slate. He will have a presence on-air, online and behind-the-scenes as he works closely with the network’s development and on-air teams to harness and execute new ideas across multiple platforms.

Actor Columbus Short is set to star in Sylvian White‘s latest film, The Losers, which is based on a DC Vertigo war comic book. Short admits to never having read the comic book before but has recently taken up the hobby. One would think that Short would be reluctant to take on a role such as this, but despite any short comings, Short puts all his faith and hope into the hands of White, claiming that Stomp The Yard was a clear demonstration of White’s talent and to expect big things seeing how this go round White has a big budget with Dark Castle Entertainment. Short played “DJ” in the 2007 film.
‘Losers’ centers around a Special Forces team, who are set up and betrayed by their enigmatic handler, Max, who soon discovers that you should never leave a bunch of black-ops commandos for dead. The Losers regroup for revenge, and to get their names off a pesky CIA death list. For issue after issue, they conducted covert operations against the CIA, and sought to uncover the plans and conspiracies of the powerful, secretive Max.

Still in the phases of pre-production, The Losers is set to begin filming in June 2009 and is expected to be released sometime in 2011.
Chris Brown‘s manager Tina Davis is now shutting down rumors of the two being intimate with each other after sources said that she was in fact the woman who was texting Chris Brown the night of the fight between him and Rihanna.
The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false,” said Marshall B. Grossman, Davis’ lawyer. “There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports.
