Atlanta rapper Dolla, who was signed to Akon‘s Konvict Music label, was shot and killed Monday afternoon in Los Angeles at the Beverly Center mall, causing mall shoppers to duck for cover as shots rang out in the parking garage of the popular Westside mall. He had just arrrived in Los Angeles from his hometown of Atlanta earlier in the day and went the mall to do some shopping, according to his publicist Sue Vannasing. While he and another rapper, D.J. Shabbazz, were waiting in the valet area, he was shot in the head. He was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he later died.
Michael Jackson has reportedly been secretly battling skin cancer and was recently diagnosed after doctors spotted signs of cancer on his neck and pre-cancerous cells on his face. But no need to worry. Reports suggest the condition is 100% treatable and Jacko will be able to carry out his “This is It” finale tour this summer in London.
A source tells British tabloid The Sun: “Michael’s test showed spots of skin cancer on his body, and cell which could turn to skin cancer on his face. He was at first very concerned, but says he has been assured by the doctors that they can treat this and he will recover. Michael is really looking forward to his concerts and is determined to wow his fans at each and every gig. He said he’s insisted that any treatment must fit around the concerts, and the show will go on.”
So that explains the face masks and umbrellas he’s always photographed with! Or at least it gives him more of an excuse…

A mutual stylist friend hooked the two young celebrities up while Shia was filming Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of The Crystal Skull in Hawaii 2 years ago. But he said the spark just wasn’t there and they never got past that one date.
“(I was) filming a sword fight when I got the message. I said to myself, ‘Can this be my life?’ It never got beyond one date. The spark wasn’t there. We weren’t passionate about each other in that way, so we remain friends.”

Hip-hop star T-Pain and his wife Amber welcomed a baby boy into their family earlier this month. Andy Samberg from Saturday night live (and The Lonely Island) broke the news on at a recent appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The Lonely Island and T-Pain were set to perform their hit sketch comedy song “I’m On A Boat” on Jimmy Fallon’s show, but Samberg said T-Pain’s new baby forced him to pull out at the last minute (no pun intended).
Rapper and Grand Hustle CEO T.I. (real name Clifford J. Harris Jr.) will report to an Arkansas federal prison on Tuesday, May 26th 2009 to begin his very generous one year and one day jail sentence after pleading guilty to felony weapons charges back in March.. According to court filings and a report from The Associated Press, T.I. must report to the Forrest City low security federal prison by noon, where he will join 1,500 other inmates.

The upcoming comedy is a flick about a record company intern (played by Jonah Hill) who is hired to accompany an out-of-control British rock star named Aldous Snow, played by Russell Brand, to a concert at LA’s Greek Theater. The “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” spin-off, directed by Nicholas Stoller, will also feature a few cameo appearances from Pink, Katy Perry, Christina Milian and others.

Wanda Sykes and her wife Alex welcomed twins April 27th, her rep exclusive revealed to People. The couple named the fraternal twins Olivia Lou and Lucas Claude, both weighing n at 6 pounds 7 ounces and 7 pounds 9 ounces respectively. Their son Lucas was 20 inches long. Wanda’s wife Alex, whom she married back in October 2008, gave birth to the babies, who are the couples first children.
“All are happy and healthy and at home,” says Sykes’s rep Danica Smith.

Now you know Michael Jackson can’t do anything without drama being right there in the shadows ready to pounce. Reuters is reporting that a music promotions company named AllGood Entertainment is planning to sue Jackson, alleging that he signed a contract last year that prevents him from performing live until July 2010.
The New Jersey-based company says they signed an agreement in November with Jackson’s manager, Frank DiLeo, committing the singer to perform in July 2010 with his brothers from the Jackson Five and his sister Janet Jackson. The agreement said Mike can NOT give another concert until that reunion show, said Patrick Allocco, managing partner at AllGood.
MTV personality Lala Vazquez had to let some Dallas Maverick fans what was up Monday night (May 11th) in Dallas at the American Airlines Center, which caused her to be subsequently ejected from the game (video). In the video you can clearly see she’s pissed off at someone and when security or whoever tried to escort her out, she was yelling, “get the f*ck off of me!” and she turned around and threw something at someoby.
Well she reached out and released a statement about the incident, saying that she and her son were verbally attacked and heckled by adjacent Dallas fans, who she says also went as far as throwing ice at them and yelling racial slurs. She said she sent her home and was ready to leave herself when security decided they wanted to “escort her out” making a scene.
“Obviously the play-off games bring out the best and the worst in fans but what happened on Monday night with the racial slurs/threats, verbal attacks on my son and physical attacks to myself by irate fans was unacceptable,” LaLa said in the statement. “The fans were totally out of control. What the cameras captured was me defending myself and didn’t show the abuse that was taking place.”
It was announced a couple of weeks ago that Nickelodeon had ordered a second season of the hit live-action comedy series “True Jackson, VP,” which currently ranks as the number two show for kids and tweens on Saturday night. Nickelodeon’s Executive Vice President Marjorie Cohn announced the news about the series, which stars multi-talented actress Keke Palmer as 15-year old True Jackson. True Jackson is the vice president of the youth division of a major fashion label.
“Keke Palmer is an extraordinarily talented actress who is both relatable and aspirational to her viewers,” said Cohn. “Her star quality, coupled with a dynamic cast and funny, compelling storytelling, has been a winning combination. We are thrilled to be bringing this successful series back for a second season.”

The former American Idol hopeful performed “Spotlight” and “If This Isn’t Love,” her hit singles from her current self-titled album in stores now. She also performed “And I Am Telling You,” a song she resurrected and made famous again, with some singer named Melissa in front of the live studio audience, who watched the performances from outdoors in the streets of Manhattan.
