Beyonce Wants to Star in Remake of “Sister Act”
Since first starring in the MTV movie Carmen, Beyonce has began to sell herself not only as a singer but as an actress. Now, she wants to take on Whoopi Goldberg‘s old role and play a nun in the next possible film adaptation of Sister Act. Beyonce took a break from her “I Am…” tour to watch the show at the London Palladium theater recently and she is so desperate to star in a film remake that she is begging Disney bosses to pick up the project.
Drake and BET Apologize for Bringing Young Girls on Stage During Young Money’s Performance at the BET Awards
Drake and BET have publicly apologized in response to the outrage thrown at them for Young Money‘s performance at Sunday night’s (Jun 28) BET Awards. As Drake, Young Money and Lil Wayne performed their songs, which all have several sexual innuendos, young girls were brought up on stage, including Wayne’s 9-year-old daughter Reginae.
According to reports, the reason why Reginae and her friends were brought on stage was because she didn’t get to go up with Wayne to accept his award earlier in the show due to her being seated too far in the back. And before Weezy took the stage to perform with Drake, she cried backstage begging her dad to let her go on stage.
Usher Worried About the Parternity of his Youngest Son + Tameka Says She & Usher had Sex Right Before he Filed for Divorce
This divorce between Usher and his soon-to-be ex-wife Tameka Foster just seems to get messier and messier. A new report from The National Enquier (insert obligatory side-eye here) says that Usher wants a paternity test done on his 6-month-old son Naviyd. Why? Because around the time the baby was conceived, Usher and Tameka were have very little to no sex.
“The first thing Usher said was, ‘How did this happen?’ – because he was gone a lot, and their sex life was very, very limited,” a friend of Usher said. “People have been telling him that around the time the little boy was conceived, Tameka got together with another man.”

Pop singer Rihanna was spotted by the paparazzi as she took lessons from professional tattoo artists at East Side Ink in New York City’s East Village Wednesday night (Jul 1). She even went as far as actually tattooing three of the artists herself! Sounds cool, right? Wrong. According to TMZ, Rihanna broke the law and the NYC Law Department reached out to the popular website saying that “Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City’s Health Code.”
Rihanna could be charged with three misdemeanors for the “offense,” each with its own penalty, which could be as much as $300 for the first offense, $500 for the second and $1,000 for a third totaling to $1,800. Chump change for someone as rich as Rihanna.

CNN & AEG Entertainment recently released this video of Michael Jackson and his crew rehearsing on stage in Los Angeles at the Staples Center for the King of Pop’s then-upcoming “This Is It” tour just days before his untimely death. We’re not sure what people were seeing when they described him as “frail” and “lethargic” in his last rehearsal, but this video of him obviously keeping up with his 20-something-year-old dancers speaks for itself. He looked pretty healthy to us!

Random Pix: Jay-Z Performs at Dodgers Theater in Phoenix, Arizona
Rapper Jay-Z took the stage Thursday night (Jul 2) at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix, AZ to kick off his 5-city tour in support of his upcoming Blueprint 3 album, set for release this September. According to a review of the show, the NY native paid his respects to the late Michael Jackson at one point during his 90-minute set:
“Put your hands up for the King of Pop, Michael Jackson,” he said, as the video screens flashed images of the dead superstar in his early days with the Jackson 5 and the group’s hit “I Want You Back” was heard.
“I believe if we let him know how much we loved him while was he here, he’d still be here,” Jay-Z said of Jackson, who died at 50 on Thursday, June 25, in Los Angeles.

Beyonce Denies Banning Letoya Luckett from the BET Awards + Letoya Speaks About the Drama (Video Included)
Leading up to the BET Awards, rumors circulated stating that Mathew Knowles and his camp were threatening BET with an ultimatum: if Letoya Luckett performed on the BET stage, his daughter Beyonce would not. Well last Sunday at the awards, Letoya performed but only at the pre-show. Now, according to the New York Daily News, a spokesperson for Beyonce is denying the rumors.
Letoya herself has also spoken up on the topic, stating that there is no drama between the two and they both have apparently let bygones be bygones.

Angelina Jolie Tops Forbes’ High-Earning Actresses List
Angeline Jolie has beaten out her hubby’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston to the top of Forbes’ new list of high-earning actresses. In the last 12 months, Jolie grossed $27 million, $2 million more than Aniston. Most of her income came from her 2008 action film Wanted and her paycheck for her new film Salt. There’s rumors of Jolie making an appearance in the Wanted sequel, even though she killed herself in the first one. Expect her to top the list next year if she is cast.

“Bruno” Rating Dropped from NC-17 to R
If you’re under 17 and was hoping to see Sacha Baron Cohen‘s new “Bruno” movie, you’re in luck! When the movie was initially presented to the Motion Picture Association of America, it was given the very risky (and very rare) NC-17 rating, meaning that even with a parent, you could not see the film if you are under 17. Naturally, the studio went back to the editing room and cut out parts of the film and blurred out some scenes, then presented it back to the MPAA for an appeal and the rating was brought down to “Restricted.”

Duke University Employee Sells Adopted Black “Son” Online
A Duke University official was arrested at his North Carolina home Wednesday (Jul. 1) for selling his adopted son online for sex and reportedly having sex with the child. Frank M. Lombard, assistant director for Duke University’s Center for Health Policy was busted for attempting to sell his son to a stranger online, promising him that he could “perform all sorts of sex acts on the child” because he had already done them himself. That stranger Lombard spoke to online just happened to be a D.C Task Force agent.
Michael Jackson’s Ex-Wife Debbie Rowe Plans to Fight for Custody of the Kids
Michael Jackson‘s ex-wife and “mother” of two of his kids, Debbie Rowe, has finally spoken up about the custody of Prince Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson. In a 90-minute phone conversation with NBCLA’s Chuck Henry, Rowe made it clear that she was going to fight for the kids stating, “I want my children.”
Based on their agreement, Jackson was to keep the kids as long as he was alive:
“We had an agreement… he didn’t keep his end,” Rowe said, referring to Jackson’s death.
Lil Wayne Criticized for Bringing Young Girls on Stage at the 2009 BET Awards
There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding Sunday’s BET Awards and Lil’ Wayne is on the receiving end of the latest bit of backlash. At the awards, Wayne performed his hit song “Every Girl“and he was joined on stage by Drake and a group of clearly underage girls, one of them being his own 9-year-old daughter Reginae.
Dr. Janet Taylor, clinical instructor at Columbia University, is questioning CEO of BET Debra Lee about her allowance of the teenagers to dance on stage.
