According to the LA Times, teen sensation Justin Bieber and Hollywood funnyman/prankster Ashton Kutcher are expected to collaborate for the non-musical movie “What Would Kenny Do?” about a guy who travels in time to guide his awkward 17-year-old self through high school.
The script for the flick, which was originally raunchy and involved a hologram of the kid’s older self rather than straight time travel, was conceived by Chris Baldi and made the 2008 Black List of best unproduced screenplays.
Since then the film has been reworked and is now in the hands of Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment with Kutcher’s Katalyst Entertainment also producing. Yet another rewrite is expected, and a director is being sought.
