Brandon Barnes
As the son of famed hip hop manager Debra Antney and the younger brother of hip hop star Waka Flocka Flame, Brandon Barnes, 26, knows exactly what it takes to become a superstar, and because of his knowledge of the industry, he calls himself “The Jesus Christ of Development.”
Barnes’ mom, known in the hip hop community as “Ms. Deb,” is known for launching the careers of Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj, and of course, her own son Waka Flocka, as well as many others. So it’s no surprise that Brandon is following in his mother’s footsteps, even though they often don’t see eye-to-eye. “It’s entertaining,” he says, “My mom is always right.”
Asked what separates the cast of “Growing Up Hip Hop ATL” from the rest of the crowd, Brandon says, “We say what we mean, and we mean what we say.”
