Police say a Florida man, who recently confessed to secretly videotaping people in a unisex restroom at Starbucks, was found dead inside a hotel room Sunday morning. According to preliminary investigations, no foul play was suspected in the Starbucks voyeur’s death.
The suspect accused of putting a video camera in the bathroom of a Brandon Starbucks has been found dead. Eric Arthur Efaw, 44, was facing charges of voyeurism after the Starbucks manager called deputies to report finding the camera in the bathroom.
Efaw was found dead in a room at the Knights Inn motel in Punta Gorda shortly after 2 a.m. Hillsborough County deputies had asked the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office to help them find Efaw, who was considered a missing and endangered adult. They believed Efaw and his car were in the area of the motel.
Deputies responded and found a man lying on the bed. They forced their way into the room and found Efaw’s body. Detectives said it appears as though his death is self-inflicted. However, the medical examiner will make the final ruling on the case of death.
