Some of Michael Jackson‘s cherished possessions are being sold at an auction being held in Las Vegas today (Fri. Jun 25), the anniversary of his death; and singer Mariah Carey has her eye on a living room set once owned by the late King of Pop that will be sold at the Michael Jackson Anniversary Day Auction. She’s even gone as far as sending her interior designer Kenneth Bordewick to place bids on the set, which was purchased to be used in the London mansion the King was going to rent while on his on “This Is It” residency.
The furniture set is a among a number of special items once owned by MJ up for sale, including his famous bedazzled glove he wore during his 1984 “Victory” Tour and the last autograph he ever signed before his death a year ago today.
The auction, however, is being opposed by Randy Jackson who believes that his brother didn’t want for it to go down. In a message to his followers on Twitter, Randy said:
“My bro stopped this auction before… I will do my best with Julien Auction House but I can only do so much. Ultimately my mom has the power to stop this, not me. This frustrates me. I know my brother wouldn’t want this.”
