I absolutely love that song and I’m glad he made it a single, and I’m sure all the fellas who got ‘caught up’ in the middle would strongly agree. Hell, they probably thank Trey for making this damn song! LOL. DJ Clue, along with some industry friends, celebrated his birthday Wednesday night in New York. Folks like Diddy, Jadakiss, Styles P, Trey Songz, and more showed up to party with Clue and everybody else! But eff them. Remy Ma and Jacki-O … under the same roof? Lawd, have mercy! How often do you spot two clowns like that enjoying each other’s company?! And we can’t forget about Cheri Dennis coming out of the wood-work to perform. Didn’t we do a Sugar 2 Shit post on her over the summer?? I hear her album might actually get released, or something like that. First it was T.I., then Akon, some other people in between, and now Trey Songz. Mr. Trey Day himself has his very own online video of him attacking an audience member after something is thrown at him. The video above shows someone throwing ice at the R&B singer while performing “Wonder Woman” at a club, and Trey stops the music and takes his bodyguarad with him as he jumps into the crowd proceeding to beat the guy’s ass. Then he hops back on stage and continues the show with his new single “Can’t Help But Wait.” The next time I’m at an intimate concert I’m gonna throw something at the person on stage and see what happens!

Trey Songz put his “male model” face on once again for another fashion magazine spread. This time around it’s the December 2007 issue of Blackmen Magazine. The latest news surrounding Songz is his recent arrest in Springfield, MA. He’s considering taking legal action against the police department for wrongfully arresting him and his entourage. Oh yeah, and ake sure you pick up that album “Trey Day” if you haven’t already!

First up, a big thank you goes out to ijeoma for updating me on the Trey Songz situation. Apparently he was just caught up in a mess and was totally innocent. The charges brought against him will probably end up getting dropped. But unfortunately for the Springfield, Massachusetts police, they’re not going to get off as easy, because Trey is considering legal action against them, and I don’t blame him one bit.

Trey Songz says he is contemplating legal action against the Springfield, Massachusetts, police department after he and two members of his entourage were arrested early Sunday morning following a performance at Springfield’s Hippodrome. In an incident involving several police officers that followed a person firing a gun into the crowd outside the Hippodrome, Songz (real name: Tremaine Neverson) was arrested for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, according to Springfield police. Kenny Bugg, who was with Songz, was arrested on the same charges while another man in their party, Jasper Murray, has disorderly conduct charges pending. Both offenses are misdemeanors. Anthony Williams, the man who allegedly fired the gun, is charged with a number of crimes including assault with intent to murder, assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.

“The show went real well. No incidents [inside],” Songz recalled on Tuesday morning (November 6), describing the night. “As soon as we finished [performing], they turned the lights on and everyone started to leave.” Ironically, the end of the show marked the beginning of Songz and company’s problems. They exited through the performers’ entrance, but that entrance leads into the same parking lot used by the general public.

“My homie goes to get one of the police officers to escort us out of there and [someone in the parking lot] started bussin’ [firing a gun],” Songz recalled. “So we started ducking in the car. So my homie runs back to the car and gets in like, ‘They bussin’!’ By the time we look up, we see the police [had] apprehended somebody, so we said, ‘We ain’t finnin’ to wait.’ We got out the car and proceeded to walk, ’cause the hotel is only a block away. The police stopped us and were like, ‘Hold up, hold up.’ ” CONTINUE READING

Da Brat was arrested early Thursday after a dispute with a waitress at Studio 72, Jermaine Dupri’s clu. 33-year-old Shawntae Harris was charged with aggravated assault, said DeKalb County Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish. Club owners couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. But according to the police report this is how it all went down: The waitress accidentally bumped into Brat and the two proceeded to get into a little “verbal scuffle.” The waitress apparently didn’t want to hear Mr. Harris’ mouth so she walked away and baby gangster (Da Brat) took a bottle of rum, and hit the waitress in the face with it! Parish said the waitress, who sustained a deep laceration to the cheek and some swelling on the forehead, was driven to a hospital by a friend. I mean really, was it that serious??? Anyhow, Shawntae was released the next day after posting $50,000 bond. It’s unknown whether or not he’ll face any charges. I know the government is making a killing off of these celebs getting arrested left and right! If they keep this shit up, we’ll be out of debt in no time! Y’all know I’m bullshittin’ right? LOL! Okay, this is surprisingly digestible - you know what - I’m not even gonna lie. I will admit, I was a little skeptical, about this whole Face Off ordeal at first. But so far, all of the recent material I have heard from these two are gold. It is highly likely this will push at least Gold status; citing how Bow Wow and Omarion’s debut collaboration, “Let Me Hold You,” did the equivalent anyhow. And with solid delivery like that, who can complain?

Being a die-hard Trey Songz fan, he already was the “enabler”. So, in essence, I was ultimately looking forward to this kind of collaboration. Seeing how I am also a Jigga fan as well, I was floored. I have yet to believe such a collaboration is possible. Although with the type of production, backing with Jay’s flow, on this track is nothing to mess with, I kind of felt this continuity going in my mind with Trey’s voice so I was not surprise once he made his brief appearance. Usually [rappers] adding to a Hova’s rap is highly unnecessary and almost seems unfeasible in correlation with the beat. But Trey sort of hung in there and stuck it out with the arrangements - I did not get that vibe at all.
