The “Hancock” star came first in the Forbes ranking to find the best paid actor 2007, with an estimated $80 million in the bank, just from making movies. “Pirates of the Caribbean” star Johnny Depp earned $72 million last year, and came in second. Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers both tied for third, earning $55 million each. And Leonardo DiCaprio came in 5th place with $45 million.

As far as actresses go, Cameron Diaz is Hollywood’s best paid actress. In 2007, she raked in $50 million, with actresses Keira Knightly and Jennifer Aniston following behind with $32 million and $27 million, respectively.

Actor/comedian Eddie Murphy has made it clear to the public that Melanie Brown (aka Mel B or “Scary Spice”) deliberately tricked him into getting her pregnant. According to The Daily Mail, the former Spice Girls singer stressed to the actor that she was on birth contol, and Eddie claims that the former couple only had sex 3 times. PEOPLE, the same site who released the first official photos of Eddie and Tracey’s “wedding,” are now reporting that the couple has split. After only 2 weeks, Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds have called it quits. The two participated in a spiritual ceremony New Year’s Day in Bora Bora, and were due to make their relationship as husband and wife official over here in the U.S.A. But it looks like that won’t be happening!

“After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further,” Murphy and Edmonds tell PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. “While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”

People has the first exclusive photo of “newlyweds” Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds after being married during a sunset ceremony on New Year’s Day on a private island off Bora Bora. But hold up … a rep for Tracey Edmonds has come out stating that the marriage between Eddie and Tracey isn’t yet official.

“As is typical when couples get married in foreign countries, a legal ceremony will take place when they return to the U.S.,” says Edmonds’s rep.

“The wedding that took place in Bora Bora was a ceremony to bind Eddie and Tracey spiritually in the presence of family and friends,” according to the spokesperson. “The couple plan a legal ceremony as soon as they return to the States.”

The two exchanged vows in Bora Bora on New Year’s Day, and plan on legally binding the marriage as soon as they hit the U.S.

According to PEOPLE, comedian/actor Eddie Murphy and movie/tv producer Tracey Edmonds are officially husband and wife. It’s been reported that the two got married on New Year’s Day on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia in front of 25 close friends and family.

In a sunset ceremony on the beach Tuesday, Edmonds walked barefoot down the aisle to Gladys Knight’s “Makings of You.” The bride wore a custom-designed form-fitting dress by stylist and designer Sugia Nazel and Jill Baracci, designer and owner of Baracci boutique. Murphy wore a cream suit and vest with an off-white handkerchief. Among the guests were best man Johnny Gill, maid of honor Nicole Avant, matron of honor Julie Lev, as well as Edmonds’s parents Jacqueline and George McQuarn, her brother Michael, Murphy’s mother Lillian Lynch and his brother Vernon.

Edmonds, 40, gave her bridesmaids gold and diamond earrings from XIV Karats in Beverly Hills, and Murphy, 46, gave his groomsmen D.Atlantis watches. The wedding was designed by event designer Colin Cowie, who created a gazebo on the beach made out of 6,000 shells for the ceremony. After the ceremony, guests celebrated at a private dinner and after-party, where DJ Darrin Ebron from Los Angeles kept the guests dancing. The wedding cake was by Sam Godfrey of Perfect Endings in Napa, CA, and featured four layers in whites and cream with handmade sugar cymbidium and dendrobium orchids.

Eddie Murphy recently divorced his wife, Nicole Murphy, and Tracey Edmonds just got through with a divorce from her husband, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. Eddie and Tracey have been dating since last fall, and have been engaged since July.
