More details have emerged regarding Naya Rivera’s arrest. The former Glee actress was charged with domestic battery over the weekend after hitting her husband in the head.

Rivera, her husband Ryan Dorsey and their 2-year-old son, Josey, were on a walk in Dorsey’s hometown Chesapeake, West Virginia on Saturday (Nov. 25). An argument over the couple’s son turned physical when Rivera allegedly hit Dorsey.

According to a criminal complaint document, police arrived on the scene at 9:33 pm and Dorsey told the officer Rivera “had struck him in the head and the bottom lip.” Though Dorsey had “minor injuries,” he did not need medical attention.

“Ryan provided me with a cell phone video recording of Ryan being struck by Naya. Then I detained Naya and charged her with domestic battery,” the arresting officer wrote in the report. It was also noted that Rivera was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

Rivera was released on $1,000 PR bond and was picked up at the station by her father-in-law.

Rivera filed for divorce in November 2016, only 2 years after tying the knot in July 2014. However, the couple called off the divorce just a month ago. “It is what it is, but I’m glad that my family is together,” she told People in October, adding that it was “a personal decision.”

The couple first dated in 2010, but reunited in 2014 after Rivera and rapper Big Sean ended their engagement. They share one child together, 2-year-old, Josey.

Big Sean seemingly responded to news of Rivera’s arrest with a video of Boosie Badazz’s daughter repeatedly exclaiming, “I told y’all n**gas. Y’all thought I was playing.”

Sean has previously accused Rivera of being controlling having “violent fits of anger.”
