Prince William of Wales and his new fiancé Kate Middleton announced their engagement today (Tue. Nov 16) in London. The couple, who have been in a relationship for eight years, looked happy as they posed for photographs and answered a few questions for the press at St. James Place.
Middleton, who is now a queen-in-waiting, is from an upper-middle class family. Her father was a pilot after the war and is now a successful businessman in England. He was quoted saying he is “thrilled” with his daughter’s engagement to the prince. Congratulations!
