The biggest indictment is that Eddie is not pictured with his wife… very telling isnt it. To juxtapose his picture next to the statements “Lead like him etc..” is deception. This is how people are slowly fed a subliminal message to worship the Pastor and not God. Truly Satanic.

Eddie Long is not flatly denying the charges because he is NOT claiming that he didnt have sex with the young men. The only thing that he is claiming is that they were over the statutory age of 16 and that the sex was not forced. That’s why he keeps proclaiming that he is “not a perfect man”. He believes that if he gets through the civil suit that his church will forgive him and send him for counseling to overcome his “gay” instincts. Yes…all in the Name of Jesus !!!!! New Birth and Eddie Long are separate defendants and they are at odds. The church will allege that Eddie spent the funds on the young men unbeknownst to them. Remember Eddie did dissolve the only oversight that the church had—its Board of Directors.

Right now the defendants are just speculating how they might get off with as little financial damage as possible. They feel that the poor fools of New Missionary Baptist will accept anything and that they (both Long, the Church and Longfellow Academy administrations) will be welcomed back to freely abuse and amuse the congregants for another 30 years… And you know what…the sickos will probably fall for it. The Black church willingly suffers abuse by its leaders. As one person put it, I have no doubt that Eddie Long is guilty… all that I want to know about these sexual allegations at New Missionary Baptist is “who is doing the swallowing?”

Personally I think that this is in bad taste- even if Bishop were to appear on the billboard- why the larger then life image? why not a smaller image of the Bishop looking up to a Cross… or some other imagery to symbolize the true message that should be advertised. To me- this bill board is guilty of promoting an Idol- whether intentional or not.

To the person who wrote this: THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF A CULT. Its sad to admit but true. Its a good thing that New Birth is having to redefine itself… a lot of lives are at stake. A lot of the parishoners wil have to be deprogrammed. This is the anatomy of evil.

Bishop Long stepped out of the true tradition of the Black Church. His brand of religion was a perversion and foreign to us. He fragmented the Black community by his misogyny, his demoralization of our SGL brothers and sisters, his derision of the poor. His message was pompous and dismissive and not based on the precepts of Christ.

In the last month we experienced the lost of a GREAT Black Pastor and leader, Rev. Lucius Walker. Check out the website of the Intereligious Foundation for Community organization for the info. This man fought for justice and peac for Black and Brown people here in the US and abroad for over fifty years. His spirit and those of MLK, Bayard Rustin, A Philip Randolph, Malcom X, Marcus Garvey have risen up to bring this demonic force down. All Praises to GOD !!!!!!

Eddie Long will go down in history as a pathetic sidebar in the struggle of our people.

Now let’s reflect on a genuine Man of God who recently passed. All of us who worked with him evidenced the Christ that Rev Walker served.

Rev. Lucius Walker: In Memory of

In 1967, Rev. Walker was called by a group of progressive religious leaders and community activists to be the founding director of the new Interreligious Foundation for Community Organization (IFCO).
From that time until the present, his leadership of IFCO gave expression to his lifelong calling, rooted deeply in his Christian faith, to serve and empower those who suffer the pain of civil rights and human rights violations by developing and sustaining collective power through community organizing.
Rev. Walker has been best known in recent years for his leadership of IFCO’s special program Pastors for Peace and for challenging the US blockade of Cuba. For many years before that he led IFCO in a prophetic ministry of action/education rooted in the faith community. IFCO served as a catalyst and a conscience in movements for social justice, playing key roles in the civil rights movement, the American Indian Movement, the national farm labor movement and the Puerto Rican struggle for independence.
IFCO’s first major accomplishment was to organize the National Black Economic Development Conference in 1969. Rev Walker chaired this historic conference, which brought together African-Americans of all walks of life from diverse political, social, economic, and geographic sectors, to plan a program of Black economic self-determination. It was at this conference that the Black Manifesto was presented, which asked for $500 million in reparations to the Black community from mainline white religious institutions.
In the 1970s, Rev. Walker and IFCO were instrumental in working with C.T. Vivian and others to organize the National Anti-Klan Network (now known as the Center for Democratic Renewal), which continues to monitor racist violence and hate crimes. Rev. Walker was also one of the strategists and founders of the National Black United Fund.
Rev. Walker led IFCO for more than four decades in assisting hundreds of community organizations and public policy groups — providing technical assistance, training organizers, making and administering grants, and using its global network of grassroots organizers, clergy, and others to advance the struggles of oppressed people for justice and self-determination. IFCO was the first national foundation to be controlled by people of color, and the only foundation in the country at that time to focus exclusively on community organizing; it became the largest foundation in the country led and directed by people of color and, in terms of total grants, one of the top 200 foundations in the US.
IFCO’s first international work, in the 1970s, grew out of IFCO’s identification with the civil rights and Black Power movements and focused on support for emerging African liberation struggles, through projects such as Relief for Africans In Need in the Sahel (RAINS).
In the early 1980s, pastors from Central America approached IFCO’s board and spoke of the challenges faced by the liberation movements in their own nations. At the time when the Reagan administration was fomenting war and unrest in Central America, IFCO organized a series of study tours and statewide ‘Central America Information Week’ campaigns around the US to raise awareness about US policy in the region.
Throughout his career, Rev Walker stayed true to ‘the Macedonian call’ (Acts 16:9). In that Scriptural passage, Paul has a dream that a distant person in Macedonia is calling for help from across the sea; when Paul awakens, he immediately starts organizing to go to Macedonia to be of help. Rev Walker understood that his faith called him to ‘love thy neighbor’ — and he practiced that faith in a radical and transcendent way by reaching out to neighbors across boundaries, barriers, and blockades.

It is also impossible to understand Rev Walker’s work without being aware of his fundamental commitment to being a parish pastor. As the founding pastor of Salvation Baptist Church in Brooklyn in 1984, his profound understanding of the Christian faith was deeply rooted in congregational ministry.
In 1988 Rev.. Walker was wounded in a terrorist attack by US-government-supported Nicaraguan contras as he led an IFCO study delegation returning from the Nicaraguan coast. He said that he “spent that night praying for a response to getting hit by a bullet that was paid for by my own government.” The next morning he announced the formation of IFCO’s new program Pastors for Peace, which was conceived, in his words, as “a ministry to victims of US foreign policy” and a vehicle for engaging US citizens in hands-on solidarity and advocacy. Since its founding, many thousands of people have participated in more than 40 Pastors for Peace caravans carrying material aid to Mexico, Central America, Haiti — and to New Orleans and the Gulf Coast after Katrina — as well as 21 ‘US/Cuba Friendshipment’ caravans that have delivered more than 3000 tons of humanitarian aid to Cuba, as a direct challenge to the immoral and illegal US economic blockade of Cuba.
One of Rev. Walker’s most significant recent accomplishments — a project to which he devoted much of his passion and energy in the last 10 years — has been to respond to an offer from the Cuban Ministry of Health for young people from communities of color and low-income communities in the US to study on full scholarship at the Latin American School of Medicine in Cuba and then return to the US to provide medical care in under-served communities. Currently 125 young people from the United States are enrolled in this groundbreaking program. The 47 MDs who have already graduated are in medical residencies in the US, or in the process of qualifying for residency — and 12 of the graduates have provided urgently needed medical services in Haiti since the earthquake.
The Board of Directors and staff of IFCO/Pastors for Peace will always honor and celebrate the rich legacy of our beloved, heroic, prophetic leader Rev. Lucius Walker, Jr.— and we remain committed to moving the work forward.

It is with great sorrow and concern that we response to this latest news. Many of you know that I am related to Bishop Eddie Long and I am very concerned about the recent developments- yet not surprised. For years we have known that this was happening. Of course, as you can imagine, because of my stance on Homosexuality, I am very distant from many of my relatives in “Main-stream” ministry. We have prayed for these guys – some of them we have spoken to directly about this secret sin in “the family” (Eddie is not the only one) but to no avail. My heart has already wept for them years ago, but now my heart weeps for you, the public…because now you know what we knew for years but could not publicly say. There was one young man who came out years ago who also made allegations. He shared that Jakes, Long, and others had a sex-ring of young men that they flew around the country to do favors for them and their friends. After he started talking, he was mysteriously beaten up, and then the Minister (a personal friend of mine) who was in contact with the young man all of a sudden lost contact. People if all of this is true – this is foul. Yet God never leaves his people in the dark…some of you remember that a little over a month ago in our daily word we said this:

God seems to have a progression when it comes to Judgement. First there is minimal disclosure so that a person can repent. What I mean is that God protects His people from public embarrassment by only exposing these people to, usually, a few discreet people who can go to them, warn them and possibly restore them. Folks, most of the people that many of you love and adore in Gospel Music or in Preaching ministry – are foul. Some of them I know personally and others I know of who have been involved in sin so depraved that it would make some of you vomit. Yet, why hasn’t God publicly exposed or judged them yet? Because He is merciful and full of Grace. There are some very great people – that God had me personally go to and warn – some listened (Glory to God!) but most of them didn’t.
The next stage is exposure to all spiritual Christians. Years ago I would tell my wife there was something wrong with T. D. Jakes and the turns he was making. Hardly anybody recognized it back then – I know several people that have warned him – G. Craige being one. But he didn’t listen. Now it seems almost anybody who is spiritual is picking up on what Jakes is doing. Now the last stage of judgment if a person doesn’t repent during the first two stages is public humiliation -everybody knows your sin. God strips you of everything and He judges you openly. Folks I have seen this happen over, and over.

…Almost always, by the time you see a pastor on the news or he loses his church you can be certain – that this was probably not his first, second, or third time – but he was a repeat offender who ignored clear warnings from God, and wouldn’t repent. The difference between the leaders that salvage their ministries and those that lose them seems to be in this: One Pastor is so remorseful that He exposes himself to his wife and close circle; but the other Pastor keeps doing it until he is caught. By the time most leaders lose their ministry they have been warned several of times – but they wouldn’t repent. I will say this prophetically there are some very Big Black TV Pastors that will be exposed for sexual sins in the near future.

I don’t glory in the sin or the exposure. But I do glory in the accuracy of the Spirit of God. Let’s all be praying for Bishop Eddie Long his wife Lady Vanessa his children but mostly all of the true Christians that this news will damage and all of the sinners this news will keep from the church. Also pray for the many victims of this type of sick activity by leaders in the black church—yall somebody is going to pay for all of the young people that have been molested and sodomized by these so called “Men of God.”
