Willow Smith Confirmed to Star in “Annie” Remake

It’s official. First, big brother Jaden Smith got his chance to star in a big movie remake (“Karate Kid”), and now his little sis Willow Smith is getting her turn!

The 11-year-old has officially signed on to star in a remake of the musical “Annie.” The movie will be developed by Sony Pictures and will be produced by her parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s production company Overbrook Entertainment. As rumored, rapper Jay-Z is a part of the project as well.

Mo’Nique Shaves Her Legs for 2011 Oscar Nomination Ceremony

Oscar-winning actress Mo’Nique debuted her freshly shaved legs as she made an appearance yesterday at the 83rd Academy Awards Nominations Announcement Ceremony, which was held yesterday (Tues. Jan 25) in Beverly Hills, CA at the Samuel Samuel Goldwyn Theater Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Mo’Nique was joined on-stage by the Academy’s president Tom Sherak and the pair shared Oscar nominee announcement duties.

Mo’Nique was heavily scrutinized for her hairy legs, which she proudly showed off on the red carpet of last year’s Golden Globe Awards. But it looks like the actress, who won an Academy Award last year for her performance in the movie “Precious,” has taken a razor to those legs of hers, which is definitely a good look!

Khloe Kardashian Says She Struggles with Weight Issues

Khloe Kardashian is having weight problems…..

The reality star revealed during a video blog on her official site Monday (Jan. 24) that she doesn’t feel all that confident in her own skin.

“My weight is always going up and down. I’m always fighting that. I feel like no matter what I do, I never look good enough to everybody else. That’s been a struggle that I think I’ve gotten ahold of, not caring what other people think. But as much as I say that, other people’s words eventually come and do hit you hard.”

Natalie Portman “Honored and Grateful” for Black Swan Oscar Nomination

Natalie Portman is thankful for her Academy Award nomination for her performance in the hit movie “Black Swan.”

The actress, who won a Golden Globe last week for the same role, reveals in a message posted to Facebook that she is “honored” and “grateful” to the Academy for recognizing her this year.

“I am so honored and grateful to the Academy for this recognition,” Nat said. “It is a wonderful culmination of the ten-year journey with [director Darren Aronofsky] to make this film. Making ‘Black Swan’ is already the most meaningful experience of my career, and the passion shown for the film has completed the process of communication between artists and audience. I am so thankful for the support we have received and I share this honor with the entire cast and crew of the film, especially Darren Aronofsky.”

Congrats on the nod Natalie!!!

Overall, “Black Swan” received 5 Oscar nominations, including “Best Picture” and “Best Director.” Mila Kunis, a supporting actress in the film, unfortunately didn’t receive any nods.

Ryan Murphy to Kings of Leon: “F**k You!!”

Glee creator Ryan Murphy isn’t a fan of Kings of Leon……

In a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Murphy lashed out at the rock band for not allowing him to use their 2008 hit “Use Somebody” on the show.

“F*** you, Kings of Leon. They’re self-centered a**holes, and they missed the big picture.”

He then went on to add:

“They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument. It’s like, OK, hate on arts education. You can make fun of Glee all you want, but at its heart, what we really do is turn kids on to music.”

Sounds like somebody’s really got their panties in a bunch!
