Willow Smith took the world by storm with her debut single “Whip My Hair,” and now she might be looking to star in her first big movie role!

Variety is reporting that the young singer’s father, actor/producer Will Smith, is in talks with Sony to develop a remake of the classic musical “Annie,” which would of course star Willow Smith. While details surrounding the project are scarce, Willow’s label boss Jay-Z is said to be behind the upcoming film’s soundtrack, but nothing has been confirmed yet. Jay-Z sampled “It’s the Hard Knock Life” from the musical on his 1998 hit single “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem).”

Acting runs in the Smith family. Along with Willow’s dad, her mom Jada Pinkett Smith and older brother Jaden have all starred in films. Will and Jaden even starred in “The Pursuit of Happyness” together back in 2006. So based on that alone, we think little Willow is going to be alright in the movie world!
