FOXY BROWN STAYS IN THE DAMN NEWS! » She may not be coming out with any new material, but Foxy Brown always finds a way to keep herself relevant these days. The Record of Bergen County reports that good old Inga was driving an SUV in Mahwah, New Jersey on Wednesday. Authorities told the newspaper that the rapper was stopped for talking on a cell phone and failing to stop at a stop sign. Authorities say a check showed the SUV’s registration had been suspended, and that the 27-year-old rapper gave officers a variation of her real name and a date of birth that was a year off (silly ho). When the officers finally learned that Brown’s license was suspended, she was taken to police headquarters. She was issued seven traffic tickets and released on her own recognizance. She was told to appear in municipal court in Mahwah on September 4th. Didn’t she JUST go to court last week?
In other Foxy B news, I hear homegirl is pregnant and own her way to getting married! She apparently confessed of such news at Bed Bath and Beyond. New York Post columnist Cindy Adams reports that she told customers in the NYC store that she was expecting and engaged. According to fellow customers, she said, “I’m getting married in September. I’m pregnant.” What the hell is this girl on? I need answers!!

Michael Vick Pleads GUILTY!
With three associates prepared to testify that he brutally executed dogs and bankrolled gambling, Atlanta falcons quarterback Michael Vick agreed earlier today to “accept full responsibility” for his role in a dogfighting ring and plead guilty to federal conspiracy charges. He faces 1 – 5 years in prison, not to mention his potentially damaged career in the NFL! The maximum term is five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, although federal sentencing guidelines likely would call for less. Defense attorneys would not give out details of the plea agreement or how much time Vick can expect to serve. However, a government official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the terms are not final, told The Associated Press that prosecutors will recommend a sentence of a year to 18 months. I’m so confused right now, it seems Nelly has once again changed his album’s title, Brass Knuckles will drop sometime in later of this year. And it seems that “Wadsyaname” might be the first single lifted from the album instead of “CUT IT OUT”, which I posted back in June, “Wadsyaname” samples K-Ci and Jojo’s “All My Life”.

At what point in your career did you know the gay community supported you?
I feel like they have always supported me from the time I came out. I always felt good if a gay person gave me props. Honestly, I feel like if a gay person gives you props, you must be doing something right. That’s just real, and I always felt like that. I wish I remembered this drag queen’s name…I was in downtown New York and she pulled me to the side and she was like, “Girl, you are hot! Okay? You don’t let nobody tell you different!†I loved it! I was like, “Thank you!†I’m happy I have the support.Do you have gay friends in your circle? »

Yeah, I used to more when I first came out. I’ve had people tell me straight up and down that I was gay—I still get it from people. I love that question! I’m trying to think of some good shit! [Laughs] It would just be to keep it sexy, keep it glamorous, keep it classic, but still funky, still hot, still edgy. I wouldn’t be mad if they changed wigs in the middle of the set— I’ve had a lot of hairstyles! [Laughs] If we could do that, I think we’d kill it!

The former Wu-Tang Clan member, whose real name is Clifford Smith, will join the Brooklyn district attorney’s office’s Choices and Consequences program as his community service. He was arrested May 17 after toll booth workers at the Battery Tunnel smelled marijuana smoke wafting from his 2005 Lincoln Navigator. I don’t think it will even be included in the album, maybe a throw away track, it sounds like a really bad version of “Push Up On Me” and “Break It off”. ALBUM REVIEW: Talib Kweli – Eardrum
Talib Kweli is back I apologize, a virtuoso emcee, that which is Talib Kweli has NEVER left! Eardrum is the name of Kweli’s third studio album, released under his own label Blacksmith Records, in stores August 21st! Producers for this LP include Kanye West, Just Blaze, Will.i.am and Timbaland and features from Jean Grae, Lyfe Jennings, Norah Jones, Musiq Soulchild, Justin Timberlake and that’s not even everybody yo! Many, many guest features on this album, I can’t even name them all, it is crazy forreal. Some of my personal favorite joints are “Soon The New Day,” “Oh My Stars,” “More Or Less,” and “Go With Us”! I can’t even really say much about this, your boy ALEX pretty much summed it up, although I like the number of tracks the way they are.
