Born and raised in Yonkers, New York, Outasight (Richard Andrew) was brought up by a mother who decorated the walls with records and a guitar playing father. Constantly moving from apartment to apartment never gave him a true sense of home, but Outasight always found comfort in music. Whether it was fronting bands at such hallowed venues as the Knitting Factory and CBGB’s, or reciting spoken word at the Nuyorican Cafe and the Bowery Poetry Club, Outasight has always loved the stage. A once regular at drum and bass parties, it was at these parties where he really began to utilize both rapping and singing together. Using these life experiences, Outasight is creating a brand of music all to his own.
He’s received major buzz, and a stamp of approval from MTVU, in addition to big publications such as XXL and Giant Magazine. Ciara’s Fantasy-Ride project seems to be leaking or, these are just the tracks that aren’t going to make the album? Nonetheless, this track “Keep Dancing,” is nice and it features The-Dream. Something, about the track makes it really enjoyable. However, It’s definitely not strong enough to be a single.
