Florida man has been pretty quiet lately, but he’s back and now he’s beating young girls to the beat of Robin Thicke‘s hit single.

According to a police report obtained by The Smoking Gun, Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies obtained a video that appears to show a Florida man named Steven Grady Fillingim beating an unnamed victim (referred to as “a relative”) with a 30-inch metal rod for 40 minutes, with the summer hit playing in the background.

The police report says specifically, he was “striking her with the switch to the beat of the music.”

The victim told investigators the man would get angry with her various reasons, including, but not limited to, skipping school, her failure to “vacuum up bugs from the carpet,” or just “being lazy.”

Being beat with a metal “switch” wasn’t the only form of abuse the girl endured. The arrest report also accuses Fillingim of striking her in the face with a belt and his hands.

The girl, who we assume to be the man’s daughter, also details other punishments such as shoveling dirt for 90 minutes before being allowed to go bed at 1:30 a.m. and being forced to hold heavy weights.

In this particular incident, which occurred on September 12th, Fillingim was punishing his daughter for skipping school.

Police said Fillingim sent the video of him beating the girl, titled “She’s Home,” to his girlfriend and she sent it to them.

NorthEscambia.com reported:

Fillingim’s girlfriend told deputies she observed Fillingim strike the victim with a belt before ordering her to hold a weight. The victim said she was then ordered to go to her room and “mind her own business”, the report states. The woman told deputies that she has now broken up with Fillingim and no longer wished to continue a relationship with him.

Well at least the girlfriend has some damn sense.
