In her Harper’s Bazaar cover story, Miley Cyrus plays the Michael Jackson card when discussing her recent antics — including that half-assed performance at the 2013 VMAs.

According to Girl Billy Ray, “I was an adult when I was supposed to be a kid. So now I’m an adult and I’m acting like a kid.”

And when it comes to her career: “I’m someone who cares about the real things in life. There are things that are personal that stress me out, but my career? That doesn’t affect me. I know what I’m supposed to be doing. I’m not scared of anything.”

Meanwhile, somewhere Elton John is going, “Nah, sis. You in trouble.”

The legendary singer-songwriter and shady queen told The Australian, “I look at Miley Cyrus and I see a meltdown waiting to happen … And she’s so young! But she’s got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?”

And if you’re curious of his track record in predicting messes waiting to happen:

“I was in my dressing room in Las Vegas when they announced that Michael Jackson was playing 50 dates at the O2. I turned to my agent and said: ‘He won’t do a single one of those.’ I could tell you he was going to die. He’d been doing drugs for so long, he’d been a mess for so long – and I’ve known Michael since he was 12 or 13 – that it was never going to happen. Everyone was saying it was going to be great and I was saying: ‘Hello? Are you looking at the real thing here?’”

I don’t know, Girl Billy Ray, you might want to slow your roll and listen to a legend. I don’t know how much of a “meltdown” is waiting for you, but you are running around here looking like a damn fool.

People are watching, but people love you until you drive yourself insane. Ask the Legendary Ms. Britney Spears. Insert “oop” here.
