Last week, “Dave Chappelle done went crazy rumors” resurfaced following the comedian abruptly bowing out of a show in Hartford, CT.

Although Chappelle did chuck the deuce to the crowd, that in no way shape or form signified that he indeed lost his damn mind.

In fact, as Lesli-ann Lewis, who reviewed Mr. Chappelle’s performance for Ebony.com, wrote: “Chappelle wasn’t having a meltdown. This was a Black artist shrugging the weight of White consumption, deciding when enough was enough.”

In other words, drunken, entitled, bratty white frat boys were behind disrespectful pricks and that’s why the man had to peace out.

Dave has since explained himself in a comedy show in Chicago. According to TMZ, Dave described the crowd as a bunch of “young, white alcoholics” who made him want to pull a “reverse Kramer.”

“I don’t want anything bad to happen to the United States,” Chappelle said … “but if North Korea ever drops a nuclear bomb on this country, I swear to God I hope it lands in Hartford, Connecticut.”

He then proceeded to call them “evil” and went on to say, “I wanted to pull a reverse Kramer and call them all crackers or something crazy like that.”

Even so, Dave says the crowd in Hartford was lucky to see him “freak out” that night. He explained, “That sh*t’s like being at a f*cking tiger show the night Sigfried and Roy got their throats bit out by the tiger … you don’t go to see somebody be safe.”
