Suddenly, Stacey Dash‘s casting in the movie “Clueless” makes perfect sense.
The former “Single Ladies” star caused a social media tidal wave when she took to Twitter to announce her support for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future. @mittromney @teamromney #mittromney #VOTE #voteromney twitter.com/REALStaceyDash…

Wow.
To be fair, Stacey never really discussed her politics, so she may have been Republican all along, but really?
For a black woman who makes most of her money these days from the urban crowd (and, mind you, is currently unemployed), this is an unusual move. Also, she voted for Obama in 2008, so she’s clearly not a tried and trued Republican.
@_youngtim_ yes I did and at that time he was the best candidate, It’s different this time. Again, my humble opinion. — Stacey Dash (@REALStaceyDash) October 7, 2012
No, not all black people are monolith and no, Obama’s not always right because he’s black, but still, you have to wonder WHAT in Mitt Romney’s platform won Stacey over.
As expected, black Twitter went apeshit over Stacey’s announcement, with some pronouncing her a traitor on par with Judas, while others defended Stacey’s right to express an opinion that differs from the majority.
